அப்படியே அவர்கள் வாங்கப் போனபோது மணவாளன் வந்துவிட்டார்; ஆயத்தமாயிருந்தவர்கள் அவரோடே கூடக் கலியாண வீட்டிற்குள் பிரவேசித்தார்கள்; கதவும் அடைக்கப்பட்டது.

“ஆகவே, முட்டாள் பெண்கள் எண்ணெய் வாங்கச் சென்றார்கள். அவர்கள் வெளியில் சென்றிருந்தபொழுது மணமகன் வந்தான். தயாராக இருந்த பெண்கள் மணமகனுடன் விருந்துண்ண சென்றார்கள். உடனே, கதவு மூடப்பட்டு பூட்டப்பட்டது.

அவர்களும் வாங்கப் புறப்பட்டுச் சென்றார்கள். அப்போது மணமகன் வந்து விட்டார். ஆயத்தமாயிருந்தவர்கள் அவரோடு திருமண மண்டபத்துக்குள் புகுந்தார்கள். கதவும் அடைக்கப்பட்டது.
