இரண்டு நாளைக்குப்பின்பு புளிப்பில்லாத அப்பஞ்சாப்பிடுகிற பஸ்காபண்டிகை வந்தது. அப்பொழுது பிரதான ஆசாரியரும் வேதபாரகரும், அவரைத் தந்திரமாய்ப் பிடித்துக் கொலைசெய்யும்படி வகைதேடினார்கள்.

பஸ்கா என்னப்பட்ட புளிப்பில்லாத அப்பப்பண்டிகை சமீபமாயிற்று.

யூதருடைய பஸ்காபண்டிகை சமீபமாயிருந்தது, அதற்கு முன்னே அநேகர் தங்களைச் சுத்திகரித்துக்கொள்ளும்பொருட்டு நாட்டிலிருந்து எருசலேமுக்குப் போனார்கள்.

இயேசு தம்முடைய சீஷருடனேகூட அடிக்கடி அங்கே போயிருந்தபடியினால், அவரைக் காட்டிக்கொடுக்கிற யூதாசும் அந்த இடத்தை அறிந்திருந்தான்.
