அப்பொழுது அவன்: அந்த மனுஷனை அறியேன் என்று சொல்லி, சபிக்கவும் சத்தியம்பண்ணவும் தொடங்கினான். உடனே சேவல் கூவிற்று.

இணை வசனம்

ஆத்துமாவைக் கொல்ல வல்லவர்களாயிராமல், சரீரத்தை மாத்திரம் கொல்லுகிறவர்களுக்கு நீங்கள் பயப்படவேண்டாம்; ஆத்துமாவையும் சரீரத்தையும் நரகத்திலே அழிக்க வல்லவருக்கே பயப்படுங்கள்.

விடியற்காலமானபோது, யூதரில் சிலர் ஒருமித்து, தாங்கள் பவுலைக் கொலைசெய்யுமளவும் புசிப்பதுமில்லை குடிப்பதுமில்லையென்று சபதம்பண்ணிக்கொண்டார்கள்.

ஒருவன் கர்த்தராகிய இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினிடத்தில் அன்புகூராமற்போனால், அவன் சபிக்கப்பட்டவனாயிருக்கக்கடவன், கர்த்தர் வருகிறார்.

அதற்கு ஜனங்களெல்லாரும்: இவனுடைய இரத்தப்பழி எங்கள் மேலும் எங்கள் பிள்ளைகள் மேலும் இருப்பதாக என்று சொன்னார்கள்.

இயேசு அவனை நோக்கி: இன்றைக்கு, இந்த இராத்திரியிலே, சேவல் இரண்டுதரம் கூவுகிறதற்கு முன்னே, நீ மூன்று தரம் என்னை மறுதலிப்பாய் என்று மெய்யாகவே உனக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன் என்றார்.

அதற்கு அவன்: நான் அறியேன்; நீ சொல்லுகிறது எனக்குத் தெரியாது என்று மறுதலித்து, வெளியே வாசல் மண்டபத்துக்குப் போனான்; அப்பொழுது சேவல் கூவிற்று.

அதற்கு அவன்: நீங்கள் சொல்லுகிற மனுஷனை அறியேன் என்று சொல்லி, சபிக்கவும் சத்தியம்பண்ணவும் தொடங்கினான்.

அதற்குப் பேதுரு: மனுஷனே, நீ சொல்லுகிறதை அறியேன் என்றான். அவன் இப்படிச் சொன்னவுடனே சேவல் கூவிற்று.

அப்பொழுது பேதுரு மறுபடியும் மறுதலித்தான்; உடனே சேவல் கூவிற்று.

அவர்கள் போஜனம்பண்ணின பின்பு, இயேசு சீமோன் பேதுருவை நோக்கி: யோனாவின் குமாரனாகிய சீமோனே, இவர்களிலும் அதிகமாய் நீ என்னிடத்தில் அன்பாயிருக்கிறாயா என்றார். அதற்கு அவன்: ஆம் ஆண்டவரே, உம்மை நேசிக்கிறேன் என்பதை நீர் அறிவீர் என்றான். அவர்: என் ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளை மேய்ப்பாயாக என்றார்.

மாம்சத்தின்படி என் இனத்தாராகிய என் சகோதரருக்குப் பதிலாக நானே கிறிஸ்துவைவிட்டுச் சபிக்கப்பட்டவனாகவேண்டுமென்று விரும்புவேனே.
