அவர் உங்களை ஆராய்ந்துபார்த்தால் அது உங்களுக்கு நலமாயிருக்குமோ? மனுஷனைப் பரியாசம்பண்ணுகிறதுபோல அவரைப் பரியாசம்பண்ணுவீர்களோ?

அநேகம் காளைகள் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்திருக்கிறது; பாசான் தேசத்துப் பலத்த எருதுகள் என்னை வளைந்துகொண்டது.

எனக்கு நேரிட்ட ஆபத்துக்காகச் சந்தோஷிக்கிறவர்கள் ஏகமாய் வெட்கி நாணி, எனக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பெருமை பாராட்டுகிறவர்கள் வெட்கத்தாலும் இலச்சையாலும் மூடப்படக்கடவர்கள்.

இப்பொழுதும் உங்கள் கட்டுகள் பலத்துப்போகாதபடிக்குப் பரியாசம்பண்ணாதிருங்கள்; தேசம் அனைத்தின்மேலும் நிர்ணயிக்கப்பட்ட சங்காரத்தின் செய்தியைச் சேனைகளின் கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவராலே கேள்விப்பட்டிருக்கிறேன்.

இஸ்ரவேலின் மீட்பரும் அதின் பரிசுத்தருமாகிய கர்த்தர், மனுஷரால் அசட்டைபண்ணப்பட்டவரும், ஜாதியாரால் அருவருக்கப்பட்டவரும், அதிகாரிகளுக்கு ஊழியக்காரனுமாயிருக்கிறவரை நோக்கி, உண்மையுள்ள கர்த்தர் நிமித்தமும், உம்மைத் தெரிந்துகொண்ட இஸ்ரவேலின் பரிசுத்தர்நிமித்தமும், ராஜாக்கள் கண்டு எழுந்திருந்து, பிரபுக்கள் பணிந்துகொள்வார்கள் என்று சொல்லுகிறார்.

ஒரேமாதத்திலே மூன்று மேய்ப்பரையும் அதம்பண்ணினேன்; என் ஆத்துமா அவர்களை அரோசித்தது; அவர்கள் ஆத்துமா என்னையும் வெறுத்தது.

அப்படியே பிரதான ஆசாரியரும் வேதபாரகரும் தங்களுக்குள்ளே பரியாசம்பண்ணி: மற்றவர்களை இரட்சித்தான், தன்னைத்தான் இரட்சித்துக்கொள்ளத் திராணியில்லை.

எப்படியெனில், அவர் புறஜாதியாரிடத்தில் ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கப்பட்டு, பரியாசமும் நிந்தையும் அடைந்து, துப்பப்படுவார்.
