அப்பொழுது, தேவாலயத்தின் திரைச்சீலை மேல்தொடங்கிக் கீழ்வரைக்கும் இரண்டாகக் கிழிந்தது, பூமியும் அதிர்ந்தது கன்மலைகளும் பிளந்தது.

அப்பொழுது, தேவாலயத்தின் திரைத்துணி மேல்தொடங்கிக் கீழ்வரைக்கும் இரண்டாகக் கிழிந்தது, பூமியும் அதிர்ந்தது, கன்மலைகளும் பிளந்தது.

இயேசு இறந்தபொழுது, தேவாலயத்திலிருந்த திரைச்சீலை இரண்டாகக் கிழிந்தது. கிழிசல் திரைச்சீலையின் மேலிருந்துத் துவங்கி கீழே வரைக்கும் வந்தது. மேலும், நிலம் நடுங்கியது. பாறைகள் நொறுங்கின.
