அவர் உயிர்த்தெழுந்தபின்பு, இவர்கள் கல்லறைகளைவிட்டுப் புறப்பட்டு, பரிசுத்த நகரத்தில் பிரவேசித்து அநேகருக்குக் காணப்பட்டார்கள்.

ஜனத்தின் அதிகாரிகள் எருசலேமிலே குடியிருந்தார்கள்; மற்ற ஜனங்கள், தங்களுக்குள்ளே பத்துப்பேரில் ஒருவனை எருசலேமென்னும் பரிசுத்த நகரத்திலும் ஒன்பதுபேரை மற்றப் பட்டணங்களிலும் குடியிருக்கப்பண்ணி, சீட்டுகளைப் போட்டார்கள்.

அப்பொழுது அவன் அவரை எருசலேமுக்குக் கொண்டுபோய், தேவாலயத்து உப்பரிகையின் மேல் அவரை நிறுத்தி: நீர் தேவனுடைய குமாரனேயானால், இங்கேயிருந்து தாழக்குதியும்.

அவர்கள் தங்களைப் பரிசுத்த நகரத்தார் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் என்னும் நாமமுள்ள இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவன்மேல் பற்றுதலாயிருக்கிறார்கள்.

எழும்பு, எழும்பு, சீயோனே, உன் வல்லமையைத் தரித்துக்கொள்; பரிசுத்த நகரமாகிய எருசலேமே, உன் அலங்கார வஸ்திரங்களை உடுத்திக்கொள்; விருத்தசேதனமில்லாதவனும் அசுத்தனும் இனி உன்னிடத்தில் வருவதில்லை.

ஆலயத்திற்குப் புறம்பே இருக்கிறபிராகாரம் புறஜாதியாருக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டபடியால் அதை அளவாமல் புறம்பாக்கிப்போடு; பரிசுத்த நகரத்தை அவர்கள் நாற்பத்திரண்டு மாதமளவும் மிதிப்பார்கள்.

முகப்பு மண்டபம் ஆலயத்தினுடைய அகலத்தின்படியே இருபதுமுழ நீளமும், நூற்றிருபதுமுழ உயரமுமாயிருந்தது; அதின் உட்புறத்தைப் பசும்பொன்தகட்டால் முடினான்.

ஆண்டவரே, உம்முடைய சர்வநீதியின்படியே, உமது கோபமும் உக்கிரமமும் உம்முடைய பரிசுத்த பர்வதமாகிய எருசலேம் என்னும் உம்முடைய நகரத்தை விட்டுத் திரும்பும்படி செய்யும்; எங்கள் பாவங்களினாலும் உங்கள் பிதாக்களின் அக்கிரமங்களினாலும் எருசலேமும் உம்முடைய ஜனமாகிய நாங்களும் எங்கள் சுற்றுப்புறத்தார் யாவருக்கும் நிந்தையானோம்.
