அதற்கு அவர்: அற்பவிசுவாசிகளே! ஏன் பயப்படுகிறீர்கள் என்று சொல்லி; எழுந்து, காற்றையும் கடலையும் அதட்டினார். உடனே மிகுந்த அமைதலுண்டாயிற்று.

இயேசு அவர்களிடம், “நீங்கள் ஏன் பயப்படுகிறீர்கள். உங்களுக்குப் போதிய விசுவாசம் இல்லை” என்று கூறினார். பின்பு, இயேசு எழுந்து நின்று காற்றுக்கும் அலைகளுக்கும் ஒரு கட்டளை பிறப்பித்தார். காற்று நின்றது. கடல் மிகவும் அமைதியானது.
