அப்பொழுது அவர் அவர்களை நோக்கி: அறுப்பு மிகுதி, வேலையாட்களோ கொஞ்சம்; ஆகையால் அறுப்புக்கு எஜமான் தமது அறுப்புக்கு வேலையாட்களை அனுப்பும்படி அவரை வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.

அறுப்புக்காலம் வருகிறதற்கு இன்னும் நாலுமாதம் செல்லும் என்று நீங்கள் சொல்லுகிறதில்லையா? இதோ, வயல்நிலங்கள் இப்பொழுதே அறுப்புக்கு விளைந்திருக்கிறதென்று உங்கள் கண்களை ஏறெடுத்துப்பாருங்கள் என்று நான் உங்களுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறேன்.

நாங்கள் தேவனுக்கு உடன்வேலையாட்களாயிருக்கிறோம்; நீங்கள் தேவனுடைய பண்ணையும், தேவனுடைய மாளிகையுமாயிருக்கிறீர்கள்.

அங்கே இராத்திரியிலே பவுலுக்கு ஒரு தரிசனம் உண்டாயிற்று; அதென்னவெனில், மக்கெதோனியா தேசத்தானொருவன் வந்துநின்று: நீர் மக்கெதோனியாவுக்கு வந்து எங்களுக்கு உதவிசெய்ய வேண்டுமென்று தன்னை வேண்டிக்கொண்டதாக இருந்தது.

நான் உன்னுடனேகூட இருக்கிறேன், உனக்குத் தீங்குசெய்யும்படி ஒருவனும் உன்மேல் கைபோடுவதில்லை; அந்தப் பட்டணத்தில் எனக்கு அநேக ஜனங்கள் உண்டு என்றார்.
