ஜனங்களில் மற்றவர்களாகிய ஆசாரியரும், லேவியரும் வாசல் காவலாளரும், பாடகரும், நிதனீமியரும், தேசங்களின் ஜனங்களைவிட்டுப் பிரிந்து விலகி தேவனுடைய நியாயப்பிரமாணத்துக்குத் திரும்பின அனைவரும் அவர்கள் மனைவிகளும், அவர்கள் குமாரரும் அவர்கள் குமாரத்திகளுΠξகிய அறிவும் Ϊுத்தியும் உள͠γவர்களெல்லாரும்,

எனவே இந்த ஜனங்கள் அனைவரும் தேவனிடம் இந்த விசேஷ வாக்குறுதியை அளித்தனர். அவர்கள் வாக்குறுதியைக் கடைபிடிக்காவிட்டால் தீமைகள் வரட்டும் என்று வேண்டினர். தேவனுடைய சட்டத்தைக் கடைபிடிக்கவேண்டும் என்று ஜனங்கள் அனைவரும் வாக்குறுதிச் செய்தனர். தேவனுடைய சட்டம் அவரது தாசனாகிய மோசேயின் மூலம் எங்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது. இந்த ஜனங்கள் நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய கற்பனைகளையும், சகல விதிகளையும், போதனைகளையும் கைக்கொள்ளவேண்டும் என்று வாக்குறுதிக் கொடுத்தனர். இப்பொழுது வாக்குறுதிச் செய்துக்கொண்ட ஜனங்கள் இவர்கள்தான்: ஜனங்களில் மற்றவர்களான ஆசாரியரும், லேவியரும், வாசல் காவலாளரும், பாடகரும், ஆலய ஊழியர்களும், தேவனுடைய சட்டத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிவதற்காக மற்ற ஜனங்களிடமிருந்து தங்களை பிரித்துக்கொண்ட இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்கள் அனைவரும் இருந்தனர். அவர்கள் மனைவிகளும் அவர்கள் மகன்களும் அவர்கள் மகள்களுமாகிய அனைவரும் கவனித்து புரிந்துகொள்பவர்களாக இருந்தனர். இவர்கள் தங்கள் சகோதரர்கள் மற்றும் முக்கியமானவர்களோடு சேர்ந்துக்கொண்டு தேவனுடைய சட்டத்திற்கு கீழ்ப்படிய ஒப்புக்கொள்ள வைத்தனர். தேவனுடைய சட்டத்திற்கு கீழ்ப்படியாவிட்டால் தமக்குத் தீமைகள் ஏற்படட்டும் என்ற சாபத்தையும் அவர்கள் ஏற்றுக்கொண்டனர்.
