பாடகரும், வாசல் காவலாளரும், தாவீதும் அவன் குமாரனாகிய சாலொமோனும் கற்பித்தபடியே தங்கள் தேவனுடைய காவலையும், சுத்திகரிப்பின் காவலையும் காத்தார்கள்.

ஆசாரியர்களும் லேவியர்களும் தங்கள் தேவனுக்குச் செய்ய வேண்டிய வேலைகளைச் செய்தனர். அவர்கள் ஜனங்களை சுத்தமாக்கும் சடங்குகளைச் செய்தனர். பாடகர்களும் வாசல் காவலர்களும் தங்கள் பங்கைகச் செய்தனர். அவர்கள் தாவீதும் சாலொமோனும் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே செய்தனர்.

தாவீது, அவருடைய மகன் சாலமோன் ஆகியோரின் கட்டளைப்படி, இவர்கள் தங்கள் கடவுளின் பணியிலும், தூய்மை செய்யும் பணியிலும் ஈடுபட்டிருந்தனர். அவ்வாறே பாடகர்களும் வாயிற்காப்போரும் பணி செய்தனர்.
