ராஜாவைப் பார்த்து: ராஜாவுக்குச் சித்தமாயிருந்து, அடியேனுக்கு உமது சமுகத்தில் தயை கிடைத்ததானால், என் பிதாக்களின் கல்லறைகளிலிருக்கும் பட்டணத்தைக் கட்டும்படி, யூதா தேசத்துக்கு நீர் என்னை அனுப்பவேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறேன் என்றேன்.

ராஜாவைப் பார்த்து: ராஜாவிற்கு விருப்பமாயிருந்து, அடியேனுக்கு உமது முன்னிலையில் தயவு கிடைத்ததானால், என்னுடைய தகப்பன்மார்களின் கல்லறைகள் இருக்கும் பட்டணத்தைக் கட்டுவதற்கு, யூதா தேசத்திற்கு நீர் என்னை அனுப்ப வேண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறேன் என்றேன்.

பிறகு நான் அரசனுக்கு, “இது அரசனுக்கு பிடித்தமானதாக இருந்தால், நான் உமக்கு நல்லவனாக இருந்திருந்தால், தயவுசெய்து எனது முற்பிதாக்கள் அடக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டுள்ள யூதாவிற்கு என்னை அனுப்பும். யூதாவில் நான் போய் எருசலேம் நகரத்தை மீண்டும் கட்ட விரும்புகிறேன்” என்று பதில் சொன்னேன்.

நான் மன்னரைப் பார்த்து, “நீர் மனம் வைத்தால், உமது பார்வையில் தயவு கிடைத்தால் என் மூதாதையரின் கல்லறைகளைக் கொண்டுள்ள யூதாவின் நகரைக் கட்டி எழுப்ப என்னை அனுப்பும்” என்று கூறினேன்.
