அவன் ஆராகின் குமாரனாகிய செகனியாவுக்கு மருமகனாயிருந்ததுமல்லாமல், அவன் குமாரனாகிய யோகனான் பெரகியாவின் குமாரனாகிய மெசுல்லாமின் குமாரத்தியை விவாகம்பண்ணியிருந்தபடியாலும், யூதாவில் அநேகர் அவனுக்கு ஆணையிட்டுக் கொடுத்திருந்தார்கள்.

அவன் ஆராகின் மகனாகிய செகனியாவுக்கு மருமகனாக இருந்ததும் அல்லாமல், அவன் மகனாகிய யோகனான் பெரகியாவின் மகனாகிய மெசுல்லாமின் மகளை திருமணம் செய்திருந்ததாலும், யூதாவில் அநேகர் அவனுக்கு ஆணையிட்டுக் கொடுத்திருந்தார்கள்.

அவர்கள் அக்கடிதங்களை அனுப்பினர். ஏனென்றால், யூதாவிலுள்ள பல ஜனங்கள் அவனுக்கு உண்மையாக இருப்பதாகச் சத்தியம் செய்துள்ளனர். இதற்கு காரணம், தொபியா செகனியாவிற்கு மருமகனாக இருந்தான். செகனியா ஆராகின் மகன். தொபியாவின் மகனான யோகனான் மெசுல்லாமின் மகளை மண முடித்திருந்தான். மெசுல்லாம், பெரகியாவின் மகனாக இருந்தான்.

ஏனெனில், யூதாவில் பலர் அவனுக்கு வாக்குறுதி தந்திருந்தார்கள். ஏனென்றால் அவன், ஆரகின் மகனான செக்கனியாவுக்கு மருமகன். அவனுடைய யோகனான், பெரக்கியாவுக்குப் பிறந்த மெசுல்லாவின் மகளை மணந்திருந்தான்.
