அவர்கள் செவிகொடுக்க மனதில்லாமலும், அவர்களிடத்திலே நீர் செய்த உம்முடைய அற்புதங்களை நினையாமலும் போய், தங்கள் கழுத்தைக் கடினப்படுத்தி, தங்கள் அடிமைத்தனத்துக்குத் திரும்பும்படிக்கு அவர்கள் கலகம்பண்ணி, ஒரு தலைவனை ஏற்படுத்தினார்கள்; ஆகிலும் வெகுவாய் மன்னிக்கிறவரும் இரக்கமும் மனஉருக்கமும், நீடிய சாந்தமும், மகா கிருபையுமுள்ளவருமான தேவனாகிய நீர் அவர்களைக் கைவிடவில்லை.

அவர்கள் கற்பனைகளைக் கேட்க மனமில்லாமலும், அவர்களிடத்திலே நீர் செய்த உம்முடைய அற்புதங்களை நினைக்காமலும் போய், தங்களுடைய கழுத்தைக் கடினப்படுத்தி, தங்களுடைய அடிமைத்தனத்திற்குத் திரும்ப அவர்கள் கலகம்செய்து, ஒரு தலைவனை ஏற்படுத்தினார்கள்; ஆகிலும் முழுவதும் மன்னிக்கிறவரும், இரக்கமும் மனஉருக்கமும், நீடிய சாந்தமும், மகா கிருபையுமுள்ளவருமான தேவனாகிய நீர் அவர்களைக் கைவிடவில்லை.

அவர்கள் கவனிக்க மறுத்தனர். நீர் செய்த அற்புதங்களை மறந்தனர். அவர்கள் எகிப்திற்கு மீண்டும் சென்று அடிமைகளாகத் தலைவரை அமர்த்தினார்கள்! “ஆனால் நீர் மன்னிக்கிற தேவன்! நீர் கருணையும் மிகுந்த இரக்கமும் உடையவர்‌. நீர் பொறுமையும் முழு அன்பும் உடையவர். எனவே நீர் அவர்களைவிட்டு விலகவில்லை.

அவர்கள் செவி கொடுக்க மறுத்ததுமல்லாமல், நீர் அவர்களிடம் செய்திருந்த உமது அருஞ்செயல்களையும் நினைத்துப் பார்க்கவுமில்லை. மாறாக, வணங்காக் கழுத்தினராய்க் கலகம் செய்து ஒரு தலைவரை ஏற்படுத்தி, அடிமை வாழ்வுக்கு மீண்டும் செல்ல முற்பட்டனர். தயை, சாந்தம், இரக்கம், நீடிய பொறுமை மற்றும் பரிவிரக்கம் கொண்ட கடவுளான நீரோ அவர்களைத் தள்ளிவிடவில்லை.⒫
