எண்ணாகமம் 13:2
நான் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்குக் கொடுக்கும் கானான்தேசத்தைச் சுற்றிப்பார்ப்பதற்கு நீ மனிதரை அனுப்பு; ஒவ்வொரு பிதாக்களின் கோத்திரத்திலும் ஒவ்வொரு பிரபுவாகிய புருஷனை அனுப்பவேண்டும் என்றார்.

நான் இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களுக்குக் கொடுக்கும் கானான்தேசத்தைச் சுற்றிப்பார்ப்பதற்கு நீ மனிதர்களை அனுப்பு; ஒவ்வொரு பிதாக்களின் கோத்திரத்திலும் ஒவ்வொரு பிரபுவாகிய மனிதனை அனுப்பவேண்டும் என்றார்.

“கானான் தேசத்தைக் கண்டு வருமாறு சிலரை அனுப்பு. இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களுக்கு நான் கொடுக்கப்போகும் நாடு இதுதான். குடும்பத்திற்கு ஒரு தலைவன் என்கிற வீதம் 12 கோத்திரங்களில் இருந்தும் 12 தலைவர்களை அங்கு அனுப்பு” என்று கூறினார்.
