இணை வசனம்

மோசே அதைக் கேட்டபோது, முகங்குப்புற விழுந்தான்.

அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் முகங்குப்புறவிழுந்து: தேவனே, மாம்சமான யாவருடைய ஆவிகளுக்கும் தேவனே, ஒரு மனிதன் பாவம் செய்திருக்கச் சபையார் எல்லார்மேலும் கடுங்கோபங்கொள்வீரோ என்றார்கள்.

இந்தச் சபையாரை விட்டு விலகிப்போங்கள்; ஒரு நிமிஷத்தில் அவர்களை அதமாக்குவேன் என்றார்; அவர்கள் முகங்குப்புற விழுந்தார்கள்.

அப்பொழுது ஆபிராம் முகங்குப்புற விழுந்து வணங்கினான். தேவன் அவனோடே பேசி:

அன்றியும் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியிலிருந்து அக்கினி புறப்பட்டு, பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் இருந்த சர்வாங்க தகனபலியையும் கொழுப்பையும் எரித்துவிட்டது; ஜனங்களெல்லாரும் அதைக் கண்டபோது ஆரவாரித்து முகங்குப்புற விழுந்தார்கள்.

அதற்கு அவர்: அல்ல, நான் கர்த்தருடைய சேனையின் அதிபதியாய் இப்பொழுது வந்தேன் என்றார்; அப்பொழுது யோசுவா தரையிலே முகங்குப்புறவிழுந்து பணிந்துகொண்டு, அவரை நோக்கி: என் ஆண்டவர் தமது அடியேனுக்குச் சொல்லுகிறது என்னவென்று கேட்டான்.

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் யோசுவாவை நோக்கி: எழுந்திரு, நீ இப்படி முகங்குப்புற விழுந்து கிடக்கிறது என்ன?

ஜனங்களெல்லாரும் இதைக் கண்டபோது, முகங்குப்புற விழுந்து: கர்த்தரே தெய்வம், கர்த்தரே தெய்வம் என்றார்கள்.

தாவீது தன் கண்களை ஏறெடுத்து, பூமிக்கும் வானத்திற்கும் நடுவே நிற்கிற கர்த்தருடைய தூதன் உருவின பட்டயத்தைத் தன் கையில் பிடித்து, அதை எருசலேமின்மேல் நீட்டியிருக்கக் கண்டான்; அப்பொழுது தாவீதும் மூப்பர்களும் இரட்டுப் போர்த்துக்கொண்டு முகங்குப்புற விழுந்தார்கள்.

அவர்கள் வெட்டிக்கொண்டுபோகையில் நான்மாத்திரம் தனித்து, முகங்குபுற விழுந்து: ஆ, கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவரே, தேவரீர் எருசலேமின்மேல் உமது உக்கிரத்தை ஊற்றுகையில் இஸ்ரவேலின் மீதியானவர்களையெல்லாம் அழிப்பீரோ என்று முறையிட்டேன்.

அதற்கு நான்கு ஜீவன்களும் ஆமென் என்று சொல்லின. இருபத்து நான்கு மூப்பர்களும் வணக்கமாய் விழுந்து சதாகாலங்களிலும் உயிரோடிருக்கிறவரைத் தொழுதுகொண்டார்கள்.
