கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: அவனுக்குப் பயப்படவேண்டாம்; அவனையும் அவன் ஜனங்கள் எல்லாரையும், அவன் தேசத்தையும் உன் கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தேன்; எஸ்போனிலே வாசமாயிருந்த எமோரியரின் ராஜாவாகிய சீகோனுக்கு நீ செய்தபடியே இவனுக்கும் செய்வாய் என்றார்.

கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: அவனுக்குப் பயப்படவேண்டாம்; அவனையும் அவனுடைய மக்கள் எல்லோரையும், அவனுடைய தேசத்தையும் உன்னுடைய கையில் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தேன்; எஸ்போனிலே குடியிருந்த எமோரியர்களின் ராஜாவாகிய சீகோனுக்கு நீ செய்தபடியே இவனுக்கும் செய்வாய் என்றார்.

ஆனால் கர்த்தர் மோசேயிடம், “அந்த அரசனுக்குப் பயப்பட வேண்டாம். அவர்களைத் தோற்கடிக்கும்படி செய்வேன். நீங்கள் அவனது படைகளையும், நாட்டையும் கைப்பற்றிள்வீர்கள். எஸ்போனில் இருந்த எமோரியரின் அரசனான சீகோனுக்கு நீங்கள் செய்தது போன்று இங்கேயும் செய்வீர்கள்” என்றார்.

ஆனால், ஆண்டவர் மோசேயிடம், “அவனுக்கு அஞ்ச வேண்டாம், நான் அவனையும் அவன் மக்கள் அனைவரையும் அவன் நாட்டையும் உன் கையில் ஒப்படைத்து விட்டேன்; நீ எஸ்போனில் வாழ்ந்த எமோரியர் மன்னன் சீகோனுக்குச் செய்தது போல இவனுக்கும் செய்வாய்” என்றார்.
