பிலேயாம் பாலாகின் ஊழியக்காரருக்கு பிரதியுத்தரமாக: பாலாக் எனக்குத் தன் வீடு நிறைய வெள்ளியும் பொன்னும் தந்தாலும், சிறிய காரியமானாலும் பெரியகாரியமானாலும் செய்யும்பொருட்டு, என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் கட்டளையை நான் மீறக் கூடாது.

பிலேயாம் பாலாகின் ஊழியக்காரர்களுக்கு மறுமொழியாக: பாலாக் எனக்குத் தன்னுடைய வீடு நிறைய வெள்ளியும் பொன்னும் தந்தாலும், சிறிய காரியமானாலும் பெரிய காரியமானாலும் செய்வதற்காக, என்னுடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தரின் கட்டளையை நான் மீறக்கூடாது.

பிலேயாம் பாலாக்கின் அதிகாரிகளிடம், “என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு நான் அடிபணிய வேண்டும். அவரது ஆணைக்கு எதிராக நான் எதையும் செய்ய முடியாது. சிறியதோ பெரியதோ கர்த்தருடைய ஆணையில்லாமல் நான் எதையும் செய்யமாட்டேன். பாலாக் அரசன் ஒரு அழகான மாளிகையுடன் தங்கமும் வெள்ளியும் நிறைத்துக் கொடுப்பதாக இருந்தாலும் கர்த்தருடைய கட்டளைக்கு எதிராக நான் ஒன்றும் செய்யமாட்டேன்.
