இஸ்ரவேலை ஆசீர்வதிப்பதே கர்த்தருக்குப் பிரியம் என்று பிலேயாம் கண்ட போது, அவன் முந்திச் செய்துவந்தது போல நிமித்தம்பார்க்கப் போகாமல், வனாந்தரத்திற்கு நேராக தன் முகத்தைத் திருப்பி,

இஸ்ரவேல் ஜனங்களை கர்த்தர் ஆசீர்வதிக்க வேண்டும் என்று விரும்புவதைப் பிலேயாம் கவனித்தான். எனவே, பிலேயாம் அதனை மாற்ற எவ்வகையான மந்திரத்தையும் பயன்படுத்த முயற்சி செய்யவில்லை. ஆனால் பிலேயாம் திரும்பி பாலைவனத்தை நோக்கிப் பார்த்தான்.

திருவிவிலியம்
இஸ்ரயேலுக்கு ஆசி கூறுவதே ஆண்டவருக்கு விருப்பம் என்று பிலயாம் கண்டபோது, முன்பு செய்தது போன்று அவர் சகுனம் பார்க்கச் செல்லாமல், தம் முகத்தைப் பாலைநிலத்துக்கு நேரே திருப்பினார்.
