இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரிலுள்ள முதற்பேறான யாவுக்கும் பதிலாக லேவியரையும், இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் மிருகஜீவன்களிலுள்ள தலையீற்றான யாவுக்கும் பதிலாக லேவியரின் மிருகஜீவன்களையும் எனக்கென்று பிரித்தெடு; நான் கர்த்தர் என்றார்.

இஸ்ரவேல் மக்களிலுள்ள முதற்பேறான எல்லாவற்றிற்கும் பதிலாக லேவியர்களையும், இஸ்ரவேல் சந்ததியின் மிருகஜீவன்களிலுள்ள தலையீற்றான யாவுக்கும் பதிலாக லேவியரின் மிருகஜீவன்களையும் எனக்கென்று பிரித்தெடு; நான் கர்த்தர் என்றார்.

கடந்த காலத்தில் நான், இஸ்ரவேலில் முதலில் பிறக்கும் ஆண் மக்களையெல்லாம் எனக்குரியவர்கள் என்று கூறியிருந்தேன். கர்த்தராகிய நான் இப்போது லேவியர்களை மட்டும் எடுத்துக்கொள்வேன். இஸ்ரவேலில் முதலில் பிறக்கும் அனைத்து மிருகங்களையும் எடுத்துக்கொள்வதற்குப் பதிலாக, லேவியர்களுக்குரிய முதலில் பிறந்த மிருகங்களை மட்டும் எடுத்துக்கொள்வேன்” என்றார்.
