அந்தப் புருஷன் தன் மனைவியை ஆசாரியனிடத்தில் அழைத்துக்கொண்டு வந்து, அவள் நிமித்தம் ஒரு எப்பா அளவான வாற்கோதுமை மாவிலே பத்தில் ஒரு பங்கைப் படைப்பாகக் கொடுக்கக்கடவன்; அது எரிச்சலின் காணிக்கையும் அக்கிரமத்தை நினைப்பூட்டும் காணிக்கையுமாய் இருப்பதினால், அதின்மேல் எண்ணெய் வார்க்காமலும் தூபவர்க்கம்போடாமலும் இருப்பானாக.

அந்தக் கணவன் தன்னுடைய மனைவியை ஆசாரியனிடத்தில் அழைத்துக்கொண்டுவந்து, அவளுக்காக ஒரு எப்பா அளவான வாற்கோதுமை மாவிலே பத்தில் ஒரு பங்கைப் படைப்பாகக் கொடுக்கவேண்டும்; அது எரிச்சலின் காணிக்கையும் அக்கிரமத்தை நினைப்பூட்டும் காணிக்கையுமாக இருப்பதால், அதின்மேல் எண்ணெய் ஊற்றாமலும் தூபவர்க்கம் போடாமலும் இருக்கவேண்டும்.

இவ்வாறு நிகழ்ந்தால், அவன் தன் மனைவியை ஆசாரியனிடம் அழைத்துச் செல்லவேண்டும். அப்போது, அவன் காணிக்கையாக ஒரு எப்பா அளவான வாற் கோதுமை மாவிலே பத்தில் ஒரு பங்கைக் கொடுக்க வேண்டும். அவன் அந்த வாற்கோதுமை மாவிலே எண்ணெயோ, நறுமணப் பொருளோ போடக்கூடாது. இது கர்த்தருக்குத் தானிய காணிக்கையாக இருக்கும். கணவன் சந்தேகம் அடைந்ததால் அதற்குப் பரிகாரமாக இப்பலி அமைகின்றது. தனது மனைவி தனக்கு உண்மையில்லாதவளாக இருந்தாள் என்று அவன் எண்ணியதை இப்பலி காட்டும்.

அவன் தன் மனைவியை குருவின் முன் கொண்டு வரவேண்டும். அவளை முன்னிட்டுத் தேவைப்படும் பத்தில் ஒரு ஏப்பா வாற்கோதுமை உணவைப் படைக்க வேண்டும்; அவன் அதன் மேல் எண்ணெய் ஊற்றவோ தூபப்பொருள்கள் தூவவோ கூடாது. ஏனெனில், அது நினைவுபடுத்தும் உணவுப்படையல், அதாவது குற்றத்தை நினைவூட்டக்கூடிய சினத்தின் உணவுப்படையல்.⒫
