அதன்பின் லேவியர் தங்கள் கைகளைக் காளைகளுடைய தலையின்மேல் வைப்பார்களாக; பின்பு நீ லேவியருக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யும்பொருட்டு, கர்த்தருக்கு அவைகளில் ஒன்றைப் பாவநிவாரண பலியாகவும், மற்றொன்றைச் சர்வாங்க தகனபலியாகவும் செலுத்தி,

“தங்கள் கைகளை காளைகளின் தலை மீது வைக்குமாறு லேவியர்களுக்குக் கூறுங்கள். ஒரு காளை, கர்த்தருக்குரிய பாவப்பரிகார பலியாகும். இன்னொரு காளை, கர்த்தருக்குரிய தகன பலியாகும். இப்பலிகளினால் லேவியர்கள் சுத்தம் செய்யப்படுகின்றனர்.

அதன்பின், லேவியர் தங்கள் கைகளைக் காளைகளின் தலைகள்மேல் வைப்பர்; லேவியருக்குக் கறைநீக்கம் செய்யும்படி நீ ஒன்றைப் பாவம் போக்கும் பலியாகவும், மற்றதை ஆண்டவருக்கு எரி பலியாகவும் செலுத்துவாய்.
