அவர்களில் தப்பினவர்களைச் சங்கரிக்கும்படி வழிச்சந்திகளிலே நிற்காமலும், இக்கட்டு நாளில் அவர்களில் மீதியானவர்களைக் காட்டிக்கொடாமலும் இருக்க வேண்டியதாயிருந்தது.

அவர்களில் தப்பினவர்களை அழிக்க வழிச்சந்திப்புகளிலே நிற்காமலும், இக்கட்டு நாளில் அவர்களில் மீதியானவர்களைக் காட்டிக்கொடுக்காமலும் இருக்கவேண்டியதாயிருந்தது.

சாலைகள் சந்திக்கும் இடத்தில் நீ நின்று தப்பிச் செல்ல முயல்கிறவர்களை அழித்தாய். நீ அதனைச் செய்திருக்கக் கூடாது. நீ உயிரோடு தப்பியவர்களைக் கைது செய்தாய். நீ அதனைச் செய்திருக்கக் கூடாது.

⁽அவர்களுள் தப்பி ஓடியவர்களை␢ வெட்டி வீழ்த்தும்படி␢ வழிச் சந்துகளில் பதுங்கியிராது␢ இருந்திருக்க வேண்டும்;␢ அவர்கள் துயருற்ற நாளில்,␢ அவர்களில் எஞ்சியோரைக்␢ காட்டிக் கொடுக்காது␢ இருந்திருக்க வேண்டும்.⁾

Neither shouldest thou have stood in the crossway, to cut off those of his that did escape; neither shouldest thou have delivered up those of his that did remain in the day of distress.

And stand thou not in the crossway, to cut off those of his that escape; and deliver not up those of his that remain in the day of distress.
