இணை வசனம்

குதிரைக்குச் சவுக்கும், கழுதைக்குக் கடிவாளமும், மூடனுடைய முதுகுக்குப் பிரம்பும் ஏற்றது.

ஸ்திரீயுடனே விபசாரம்பண்ணுகிறவன் மதிகெட்டவன்; அப்படிச் செய்கிறவன் தன் ஆத்துமாவைக் கெடுத்துப்போடுகிறான்.

அப்பொழுது கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: வெட்டுக்கிளிகள் எகிப்து தேசத்தின் மேல் வந்து, கல்மழையினால் அழியாத பூமியின் பயிர்வகைகளையெல்லாம் பட்சிக்கும்படிக்கு, எகிப்து தேசத்தின்மேல் உன் கையை நீட்டு என்றார்.

வாரினாலும் கடிவாளத்தினாலும் வாய் கட்டப்பட்டாலொழிய, உன் கிட்டச் சேராத புத்தியில்லாக் குதிரையைப்போலவும் கோவேறு கழுதையைப்போலவும் இருக்கவேண்டாம்.

உடனே அவன் அவள் பின்னே சென்றான்; ஒரு மாடு அடிக்கப்படும்படி செல்வதுபோலும், ஒரு மூடன் விலங்கிடப்பட்டுத் தண்டனைக்குப் போவதுபோலும்,

கண்சாடை காட்டுகிறவன் நோவு உண்டாக்குகிறான்; அலப்புகிற மூடன் விழுவான்.

நீதிமானுடைய உதடுகள் அநேகரைப் போஷிக்கும்; மூடரோ மதியீனத்தினால் மாளுவார்கள்.

நீதிமானுடைய வாய் ஞானத்தை வெளிப்படுத்தும்; மாறுபாடுள்ள நாவோ அறுப்புண்டுபோம்.

ஞானிகளின் உதடுகள் அறிவை இறைக்கும்; மூடரின் இருதயமோ அப்படியல்ல.

மனுஷனுக்குத் தன் வாய்மொழியினால் மகிழ்ச்சியுண்டாகும்; ஏற்ற காலத்தில் சொன்ன வார்த்தை எவ்வளவு நல்லது!

மூடனை நூறடி அடிப்பதைப்பார்க்கிலும், புத்திமானை வாயினால் கண்டிப்பதே அதிகமாய் உறைக்கும்.

பரியாசக்காரருக்குத் தண்டனையும், மூடருடைய முதுகுக்கு அடிகளும் ஆயத்தமாயிருக்கிறது.

பொன்னும் மிகுதியான முத்துக்களும் உண்டு; அறிவுள்ள உதடுகளோ விலையுயர்ந்த இரத்தினம்.

மூடனை உரலில் போட்டு உலக்கையினால் நொய்யோடே நொய்யாகக் குத்தினாலும், அவனுடைய மூடத்தனம் அவனை விட்டு நீங்காது.

இளைப்படைந்தவனுக்கு சமயத்திற்கேற்ற வார்த்தை சொல்ல நான் அறியும்படிக்கு, கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர் எனக்குக் கல்விமானின் நாவைத் தந்தருளினார்; காலைதோறும் என்னை எழுப்புகிறார்; கற்றுக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களைப்போல, நான் கேட்கும்படி என் செவியைக் கவனிக்கச்செய்கிறார்.

எல்லாரும் அவருக்கு நற்சாட்சி கொடுத்து, அவருடைய வாயிலிருந்து புறப்பட்ட கிருபையுள்ள வார்த்தைகளைக் குறித்து ஆச்சரியப்பட்டு: இவன் யோசேப்பின் குமாரன் அல்லவா என்றார்கள்.
