இணை வசனம்

அவள் அவனுக்குக் கண்ணியாயிருக்கவும், பெலிஸ்தரின் கை அவன்மேல் விழவும், அவளை அவனுக்குக் கொடுப்பேன் என்று சவுல் எண்ணி, தாவீதை நோக்கி: நீ என்னுடைய இரண்டாம் குமாரத்தியினால் இன்று எனக்கு மருமகனாவாய் என்றான்.

ஆகையால் இன்னும் அதிகமாய்த் தாவீதுக்குப் பயந்து, தான் உயிரோடிருந்த நாளெல்லாம் தாவீதுக்குச் சத்துருவாயிருந்தான்.

அப்னேர் எப்ரோனுக்குத் திரும்பி வருகிறபோது, யோவாப் அவனோடே இரகசியமாய்ப் பேசப்போகிறவன்போல் அவனை ஒலிமுகவாசலின் நடுவே ஒரு பக்கமாய் அழைத்துப்போய், தன் தம்பி ஆசகேலுடைய இரத்தப்பழியை வாங்க அங்கே அவனை வயிற்றியிலே குத்திக்கொன்றுபோட்டான்.

பின்பு தாவீது உரியாவை நோக்கி: நீ உன் வீட்டிற்குப் போய், பாதசுத்தி செய் என்றான்; உரியா ராஜ அரமனையிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டபோது, ராஜாவினிடத்திலிருந்து உச்சிதமான பதார்த்தங்கள் அவன் பின்னாலே அனுப்பப்பட்டது.

இரண்டு வருஷம் சென்றபின்பு, அப்சலோம் எப்பிராயீமுக்குச் சமீபமான பாலாத்சோரிலே ஆட்களை வைத்து, ஆடுகளை மயிர்கத்தரிக்கிற வேலையில் இருந்தான்; அங்கே ராஜகுமாரர் எல்லாரையும் விருந்துக்கு அழைத்தான்.

அப்பொழுது யோவாப் அமாசாவைப் பார்த்து: என் சகோதரனே, சுகமாயிருக்கிறாயா என்று சொல்லி, அமாசாவை முத்தஞ்செய்யும்படி, தன் வலதுகையினξல் அவன் தாடοயைப் பிடித்து,

அவர்கள் வாயில் உண்மை இல்லை, அவர்கள் உள்ளம் கேடுபாடுள்ளது; அவர்கள் தொண்டை திறக்கப்பட்டபிரேதக்குழி; தங்கள் நாவினால் இச்சகம் பேசுகிறார்கள்.

அவரவர் தங்கள் தோழரோடே பொய்பேசுகிறார்கள்; இச்சக உதடுகளால் இருமனதாய்ப் பேசுகிறார்கள்.

அவன் தன் நாவினால் புறங்கூறாமலும், தன் தோழனுக்குத் தீங்குசெய்யாமலும், தன் அயலான்மேல் சொல்லப்படும் நிந்தையான பேச்சை எடுக்காமலும் இருக்கிறான்.

நீ உட்கார்ந்து உன் சகோதரனுக்கு விரோதமாய்ப் பேசி, உன் தாயின் மகனுக்கு அவதூறு உண்டாக்குகிறாய்.

அவன் வாயின் சொற்கள் வெண்ணெயைப்போல மெதுவானவைகள், அவன் இருதயமோ யுத்தம்; அவன் வார்த்தைகள் எண்ணெயிலும் மிருதுவானவைகள், ஆனாலும் அவைகள் உருவின பட்டயங்கள்.

பிறனை இரகசியமாய் அவதூறுபண்ணுகிறவனைச் சங்கரிப்பேன்; மேட்டிமைக் கண்ணனையும் பெருநெஞ்சுள்ளவனையும் பொறுக்கமாட்டேன்.

பகைஞன் தன் உள்ளத்தில் கபடத்தை மறைத்து, தன் உதடுகளினால் சூதுபேசுகிறான்.

அவர்கள் சமயம்பார்த்து, தேசாதிபதியின் ஆளுகைக்கும் அதிகாரத்துக்கும் அவரை ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கும்படி அவருடைய பேச்சிலே குற்றங்கண்டுபிடிக்கலாமென்று, தங்களை உண்மையுள்ளவர்களாய்க் காண்பிக்கிற வேவுகாரரை அவரிடத்தில் அனுப்பினார்கள்.
