இணை வசனம்

பரியாசக்காரர் பட்டணத்தில் தீக்கொளுத்திவிடுகிறார்கள்; ஞானிகளோ குரோதத்தை விலக்குகிறார்கள்.

நீதி ஜனத்தை உயர்த்தும்; பாவமோ எந்த ஜனத்துக்கும் இகழ்ச்சி.

அப்பொழுது பார்வோன் தன் ஊழியக்காரரை நோக்கி: தேவ ஆவியைப் பெற்ற இந்த மனுஷனைப்போல வேறொருவன் உண்டோ என்றான்.

ஆதலால் நீங்கள் அல்ல, தேவனே என்னை இவ்விடத்துக்கு அனுப்பி, என்னைப் பார்வோனுக்குத் தகப்பனாகவும், அவர் குடும்பம் அனைத்திற்கும் கர்த்தனாகவும், எகிப்துதேசம் முழுதுக்கும் அதிபதியாகவும் வைத்தார்.

அப்பொழுது பென்யமீன் மனுஷனான பிக்கிரியின் குமாரனாகிய சேபா என்னும் பேருள்ள பேலியாளின் மனுஷன் ஒருவன் தற்செயலாய் அங்கே இருந்தான்; அவன் எக்காளம் ஊதி: எங்களுக்குத் தாவீதினிடத்தில் பங்கும் இல்லை, ஈசாயின் குமாரனிடத்தில் எங்களுக்குச் சுதந்தரமும் இல்லை; இஸ்ரவேலே, நீங்கள் அவரவர் தங்கள் கூடாரங்களுக்குப் போய்விடுங்கள் என்றான்.

இதினிமித்தம் ராஜாவாகிய எசேக்கியாவும் ஆமோத்சின் குமாரனாகிய ஏசாயா தீர்க்கதரிசியும் பிரார்த்தித்து, வானத்தைநோக்கி அபயமிட்டார்கள்.

அப்பொழுது ஆமான் அகாஸ்வேரு ராஜாவை நோக்கி உம்முடைய ராஜ்யத்தின் சகல நாடுகளிலுமுள்ள ஜனங்களுக்குள்ளே ஒருவித ஜனங்கள் சிதறுண்டு பரம்பியிருக்கிறார்கள்; அவர்களுடைய வழக்கங்கள் சகல ஜனங்களுடைய வழக்கங்களுக்கும் விகற்பமாயிருக்கிறது; அவர்கள் ராஜாவின் கட்டளைகளைக் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறதில்லை; ஆகையால் அவர்களை இப்படி விட்டிருக்கிறது ராஜாவுக்கு நியாயமல்ல.

ராஜாவின் வார்த்தையின்படியும் அவனுடைய கட்டளையின்படியும் செய்யப்படுகிறதற்கு, ஆதார் மாதம் என்கிற பன்னிரண்டாம் மாதம் பதின்மூன்றாந் தேதியிலே, யூதரின் பகைஞர் அவர்களை மேற்கொள்ளலாம் என்று நம்பினார்களே; அந்த நாளிலேதானே, யூதரானவர்கள் தங்கள் பகைஞரை மேற்கொள்ளும்படிக்குக் காரியம் மாறுதலாய் முடிந்தது.

குற்றமற்றிராதவனையுங்கூடத் தப்புவிப்பார்; உம்முடைய கைகளின் சுத்தத்தினிமித்தம் அவன் தப்பிப்போவான் என்றான்.

அதிலே ஞானமுள்ள ஒரு ஏழை மனிதன் இருந்தான்; அவன் தன் ஞானத்திலே அந்தப் பட்டணத்தை விடுவித்தான்; ஆனாலும் அந்த ஏழை மனிதனை ஒருவரும் நினைக்கவில்லை.

நாவும் நெருப்புத்தான், அது அநீதி நிறைந்த உலகம்; நம்முடைய அவயவங்களில் நாவானது முழுச்சரீரத்தையும் கறைப்படுத்தி, ஆயுள் சக்கரத்தைக் கொளுத்திவிடுகிறதாயும், நரக அக்கினியினால் கொளுத்தப்படுகிறதாயும் இருக்கிறது!
