சண்டைக்காரராயிருந்து, சத்தியத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படியாமல், அநியாயத்திற்குக் கீழ்ப்படிந்திருக்கிறவர்களுக்கோ உக்கிரகோபாக்கினை வரும்.

நீதிமான்களின் நம்பிக்கை மகிழ்ச்சியாகும்; துன்மார்க்கருடைய அபேட்சையோ அழியும்.

கர்த்தாவே, சிறுமைப்பட்டவர்களுடைய வேண்டுதலைக் கேட்டிருக்கிறீர்; அவர்கள் இருதயத்தை ஸ்திரப்படுத்துவீர்.

கர்த்தரிடத்தில் ஒன்றை நான் கேட்டேன் அதையே நாடுவேன்; நான் கர்த்தருடைய மகிமையைப் பார்க்கும்படியாகவும், அவருடைய ஆலயத்தில் ஆராய்ச்சிசெய்யும்படியாகவும், நான் என் ஜீவனுள்ள நாளெல்லாம் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தில் தங்கியிருப்பதையே நாடுவேன்.

கர்த்தரிடத்தில் மனமகிழ்ச்சியாயிரு; அவர் உன் இருதயத்தின் வேண்டுதல்களை உனக்கு அருள்செய்வார்.

இப்போதும் ஆண்டவரே, நான் எதற்கு எதிர்பார்த்திருக்கிறேன்? நீரே என் நம்பிக்கை.

உமது பிரமாணங்களைக் கைக்கொள்ளும்படி, என் நடைகள் ஸ்திரப்பட்டால் நலமாயிருக்கும்.

என் முழு இருதயத்தோடும் உம்மைத் தேடுகிறேன், என்னை உமது கற்பனைகளைவிட்டு வழிதப்பவிடாதேயும்.

துன்மார்க்கன் மரிக்கும்போது அவன் நம்பிக்கை அழியும்; அக்கிரமக்காரரின் அபேட்சை கெட்டுப்போம்.

என் ஆத்துமா இரவிலே உம்மை வாஞ்சிக்கிறது; எனக்குள் இருக்கிற என் ஆவியால் அதிகாலையிலும் உம்மைத் தேடுகிறேன்; உம்முடைய நியாயத்தீர்ப்புகள் பூமியிலே நடக்கும்போது பூச்சக்கரத்துக்குடிகள் நீதியைக் கற்றுக்கொள்வார்கள்.

நானோ உம்மைப் பின்பற்றுகிற மேய்ப்பன், இதற்கு நான் மிஞ்சி நடக்கவில்லை; ஆபத்துநாளை விரும்புறதுமில்லையென்று நீர் அறிவீர்; என் உதடுகளிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டது உமக்கு முன்பாகச் செவ்வையாயிருந்தது.

நீதியின்மேல் பசிதாகமுள்ளவர்கள் பாக்கியவான்கள்; அவர்கள் திருப்தியடைவார்கள்.

நியாயத்தீர்ப்பு வருமென்று பயத்தோடே எதிர்பார்க்குதலும், விரோதிகளைப் பட்சிக்கும் கோபாக்கினையுமே இருக்கும்.
