இணை வசனம்

நகைப்பைக்குறித்து, அது பைத்தியம் என்றும் சந்தோஷத்தைக்குறித்து, அது என்ன செய்யும்? என்றும் சொன்னேன்.

அவள் செய்கையின் முடிவோ எட்டியைப்போலக் கசப்பும், இருபுறமுங் கருக்குள்ள பட்டயம்போல் கூர்மையுமாயிருக்கும்.

என் கண்கள் இச்சித்தவைகளில் ஒன்றையும் நான் அவைகளுக்குத் தடைபண்ணவில்லை, என் இருதயத்துக்கு ஒரு சந்தோஷத்தையும் நான் வேண்டாமென்று விலக்கவில்லை; நான் செய்த முயற்சிகளிலெல்லாம் என் மனம் மகிழ்ச்சிகொண்டிருந்தது, இதுவே என் பிரயாசங்கள் எல்லாவற்றினாலும் எனக்கு வந்த பலன்.

ஒருவன் மூடரின் பாட்டைக்கேட்பதிலும், ஞானியின் கடிந்துகொள்ளுதலைக் கேட்பது நலம்.

வாலிபனே! உன் இளமையிலே சந்தோஷப்படு, உன் வாலிப நாட்களிலே உன் இருதயம் உன்னைப் பூரிப்பாக்கட்டும்; உன் நெஞ்சின் வழிகளிலும், உன் கண்ணின் காட்சிகளிலும் நட; ஆனாலும் இவையெல்லாவற்றினிமித்தமும் தேவன் உன்னை நியாயத்திலே கொண்டுவந்து நிறுத்துவார் என்று அறி.

அதற்கு ஆபிரகாம்: மகனே, நீ பூமியிலே உயிரோடிருக்குங் காலத்தில் உன் நன்மைகளை அனுபவித்தாய், லாசருவும் அப்படியே தீமைகளை அநுபவித்தான், அதை நினைத்துக்கொள்; இப்பொழுது அவன் தேற்றப்படுகிறான், நீயோ வேதனைப்படுகிறாய்.

நீங்கள் துயரப்பட்டுத் துக்கித்து அழுங்கள்; உங்கள் நகைப்பு துக்கிப்பாகவும், உங்கள் சந்தோஷம் சஞ்சலமாகவும் மாறக்கடவது.

அவள் தன்னை மகிமைப்படுத்தி, செல்வச்செருக்காய் வாழ்ந்ததெவ்வளவோ அவ்வளவாய் வாதையையும் துக்கத்தையும் அவளுக்குக் கொடுங்கள். நான் ராஜஸ்திரீயாய் வீற்றிருக்கிறேன்; நான் கைம்பெண்ணல்ல, நான் துக்கத்தைக் காண்பதில்லையென்று அவள் தன் இருதயத்திலே எண்ணினாள்.
