கெட்ட வார்த்தை ஒன்றும் உங்கள் வாயிலிருந்து புறப்படவேண்டாம்; பக்திவிருத்திக்கு ஏதுவான நல்ல வார்த்தை உண்டானால் அதையே கேட்கிறவனுக்குப் பிரயோஜனமுண்டாகும்படி பேசுங்கள்.

நல்ல மனுஷன் இருதமாகிய நல்ல பொக்கிஷத்திலிருந்து நல்லவைகளை எடுத்துக்காட்டுகிறான், பொல்லாத மனுஷன் பொல்லாத பொக்கிஷத்திலிருந்து பொல்லாதவைகளை எடுத்துக்காட்டுகிறான்.

அவனவனுக்கு இன்னின்னபடி உத்தரவு சொல்லவேண்டுமென்று நீங்கள் அறியும்படிக்கு, உங்கள் வசனம் எப்பொழுதும் கிருபை பொருந்தினதாயும் உப்பால் சாரமேறினதாயுமிருப்பதாக.

துன்மார்க்கனுக்கு அவன் உதடுகளின் துரோகமே கண்ணி; நீதிமானோ நெருக்கத்தினின்று நீங்குவான்.

ஞானியினுடைய வாய்மொழிகள் தயையுள்ளவைகள்; மூடனுடைய உதடுகளோ அவனையே விழுங்கும்.

தூரமாயிருக்கிறவர்களுக்கும் சமீபமாயிருக்கிறவர்களுக்கும் சமாதானம் சமாதானம் என்று கூறும் உதடுகளின் பலனைச் சிருஷ்டிக்கிறேன், அவர்களைக் குணமாக்குவேன் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

அவரை விசுவாசியாதவர்கள் எப்படி அவரைத் தொழுதுகொள்ளுவார்கள்? அவரைக்குறித்துக் கேள்விப்படாதவாகள் எப்படி விசுவாசிப்பார்கள்? பிரசங்கிக்கிறவன் இல்லாவிட்டால் எப்படிக் கேள்விப்படுவார்கள்?

அநேகர், விசேஷமாய் விருத்தசேதனமுள்ளவர்கள், அடங்காதவர்களும், வீண்பேச்சுக்காரரும், மனதை மயக்குகிறவர்களுமாயிருக்கிறார்கள்.

வஞ்சகமாய் நடக்கிறவர்களிடத்திலிருந்து அரிதாய்த் தப்பினவர்களிடத்தில் இவர்கள் அகந்தையான வீண்வார்த்தைகளைப் பேசி, மாம்ச இச்சைகளினாலும் காமவிகாரங்களினாலும் அவர்களைத் தந்திரமாய்ப் பிடிக்கிறார்கள்.

கெட்டுப்போகிறவர்களுக்குள்ளே மரணத்திற்கேதுவான மரணவாசனையாகவும், இரட்சிக்கப்படுகிறவர்களுக்குள்ளே ஜீவனுக்கேதுவான ஜீவவாசனையாகவும் இருக்கிறோம். இவைகளை நடப்பிக்கிறதற்கு எவன் தகுதியானவன்?

ஆகையால் அவனுடைய ஊழியக்காரரும் நீதியின் ஊழியக்காரருடைய வேஷத்தைத் தரித்துக்கொண்டால் அது ஆச்சரியமல்லவே; அவர்கள் முடிவு அவர்கள் கிரியைகளுக்குத்தக்கதாயிருக்கும்.
