இணை வசனம்

பலவானைப்பார்க்கிலும் நீடிய சாந்தமுள்ளவன் உத்தமன்; பட்டணத்தைப் பிடிக்கிறவனைப்பார்க்கிலும் தன் மனதை அடக்குகிறவன் உத்தமன்.

நீடிய சாந்தமுள்ளவன் மகாபுத்திமான்; முற்கோபியோ புத்தியீனத்தை விளங்கப்பண்ணுகிறான்.

கோபக்காரன் சண்டையை எழுப்புகிறான்; நீடிய சாந்தமுள்ளவனோ சண்டையை அமர்த்துகிறான்.

ஆகையால், நீங்கள் தேவனால் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்ட பரிசுத்தரும் பிரியருமாய், உருக்கமான இரக்கத்தையும், தயவையும், மனத்தாழ்மையையும், சாந்தத்தையும், நீடிய பொறுமையையும் தரித்துக்கொண்டு;

ஆகையால், என் பிரியமான சகோதரரே, யாவரும் கேட்கிறதற்குத் தீவிரமாயும், பேசுகிறதற்குப் பொறுமையாயும், கோபிக்கிறதற்குத் தாமதமாயுமிருக்கக்கடவர்கள்;

ஒருவருக்கொருவர் தயவாயும் மனஉருக்கமாயும் இருந்து, கிறிஸ்துவுக்குள் தேவன் உங்களுக்கு மன்னித்ததுபோல, நீங்களும் ஒருவருக்காருவர் மன்னியுங்கள்.

தங்கள் தகப்பன் மரணமடைந்ததை யோசேப்பின் சகோதரர் கண்டு: ஒருவேளை யோசேப்பு நம்மைப் பகைத்து, நாம் அவனுக்குச் செய்த எல்லாப் பொல்லாங்குக்காகவும் நமக்குச் சரிக்குச் சரிகட்டுவான் என்று சொல்லி, யோசேப்பினிடத்தில் ஆள் அனுப்பி,

சண்டையின் ஆரம்பம் மதகைத் திறந்துவிடுகிறதுபோலிருக்கும்; ஆதலால் விவாதம் எழும்புமுன் அதை விட்டுவிடு.

வழக்குக்கு விலகுவது மனுஷனுக்கு மேன்மை; மூடனானவன் எவனும் அதிலே தலையிட்டுக்கொள்வான்.

உன் சத்துரு பசியாயிருந்தால், அவனுக்குப் புசிக்க ஆகாரங்கொடு; அவன் தாகமாயிருந்தால், குடிக்கத் தண்ணீர்கொடு.

அப்பொழுது, பேதுரு அவரிடத்தில் வந்து, ஆண்டவரே என் சகோதரன் எனக்கு விரோதமாய்க் குற்றஞ்செய்து வந்தால், நான் எத்தனைதரம் மன்னிக்கவேண்டும்? ஏழுதரமட்டுமோ என்று கேட்டான்.
