நம்பிக்கையிருக்குமட்டும் உன் மகனைச் சிட்சைசெய்; ஆனாலும் அவனைக் கொல்ல உன் ஆத்துமாவை எழும்பவொட்டாதே.

நம்பிக்கையிருக்கும்வரை உன்னுடைய மகனைத் தண்டி; ஆனாலும் அவனைக் கொல்ல உன்னுடைய ஆத்துமாவில் தீர்மானிக்காதே.

உன் மகனுக்குக் கற்றுக்கொடு, அவன் தவறு செய்யும்போது தண்டனைகொடு. அதுதான் ஒரே நம்பிக்கை. இதனை நீ செய்ய மறுத்தால், பிறகு அவன் தன்னையே அழித்துக்கொள்ள நீ உதவுவதாக இருக்கும்.
