இணை வசனம்

விவேகி ஆபத்தைக் கண்டு மறைந்துகொள்ளுகிறான்; பேதைகள் நெடுகப்போய் தண்டிக்கப்படுகிறார்கள்.

கர்த்தரின் நாமம் பலத்த துருகம்; நீதிமான் அதற்குள் ஓடிச் சுகமாயிருப்பான்.

கர்த்தருடைய நாள் இரவிலே திருடன் வருகிறவிதமாய் வரும்; அப்பொழுது வானங்கள் மடமட என்று அகன்றுபோம், பூதங்கள் வெந்து உருகிப்போம், பூமியும் அதிலுள்ள கிரியைகளுமெரிந்து அழிந்துபோம்.

பார்வோனுடைய ஊழியக்காரரில் எவன் கர்த்தருடைய வார்த்தைக்குப் பயப்பட்டானோ, அவன் தன் வேலைக்காரரையும் தன் மிருகஜீவன்களையும் வீடுகளுக்கு ஓடிவரப் பண்ணினான்.

எனக்கு இரங்கும், தேவனே, எனக்கு இரங்கும்; உம்மை என் ஆத்துமா அண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறது; விக்கினங்கள் கடந்துபோகுமட்டும் உமது செட்டைகளின் நிழலிலே வந்து அடைவேன்.

என் ஜனமே, நீ போய் உன் அறைக்குள்ளே பிரவேசித்து, உன் கதவுகளைப் பூட்டிக்கொண்டு, சினம் கடந்துபோகுமட்டும் கொஞ்சநேரம் ஒளித்துக்கொள்.

பரிசேயரிலும் சதுசேயரிலும் அநேகர் தன்னிடத்தில் ஞானஸ்நானம் பெறும்படி வருகிறதை அவன் கண்டு: விரியன் பாம்புக்குட்டிகளே! வருங்கோபத்துக்குத் தப்பித்துக்கொள்ள உங்களுக்கு வகைகாட்டினவன் யார்?

நமக்கு முன் வைக்கப்பட்ட நம்பிக்கையைப் பற்றிக்கொள்ளும்படி அடைக்கலமாய் ஓடிவந்த நமக்கு இரண்டு மாறாத விசேஷங்களினால் நிறைந்த ஆறுதலுண்டாகும்படிக்கு எவ்வளவேனும் பொய்யுரையாத தேவன் அப்படிச் செய்தார்.

விசுவாசத்தினாலே நோவா தற்காலத்திலே காணாதவைகளைக்குறித்து தேவ எச்சரிப்புப்பெற்று, பயபக்தியுள்ளவனாகி, தன் குடும்பத்தை இரட்சிப்பதற்குப் பேழையை உண்டுபண்ணினான்; அதினாலே அவன் உலகம் ஆக்கினைக்குள்ளானதென்று தீர்த்து, விசுவாசத்தினாலுண்டாகும் நீதிக்குச் சுதந்தரவாளியானான்.

இப்பொழுது இருக்கிற வானங்களும் பூமியும் அந்த வார்த்தையினாலேயே அக்கினிக்கு இரையாக வைக்கப்பட்டு, தேவபக்தியில்லாதவர்கள் நியாயந்தீர்க்கப்பட்டு அழிந்துபோகும் நாள்வரைக்கும் காக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது.
