தேசத்தின் பாவத்தினிமித்தம் அதின் அதிகாரிகள் அநேகராயிருக்கிறார்கள்; புத்தியும் அறிவுமுள்ள மனுஷனாலோ அதின் நற்சீர் நீடித்திருக்கும்.

ஒரு நாடு அடிபணிய மறுத்தால், அது குறுகிய காலமே ஆளும் தீய தலைவர்களைப் பெறும். ஆனால் ஒரு நாட்டிற்கு நல்லவனும் ஞானவானுமாகிய ஒருவன் தலைவனாக இருந்தால், அங்கே நீண்டக் காலம் நிலைத்த ஆட்சி நடைபெறும்.

For the transgression	בְּפֶ֣שַֽׁע	bĕpešaʿ	beh-FEH-sha
of a land	אֶ֭רֶץ	ʾereṣ	EH-rets
many	רַבִּ֣ים	rabbîm	ra-BEEM
are the princes	שָׂרֶ֑יהָ	śārêhā	sa-RAY-ha
