பூமியின்மேல் ஆகாரம் விளையும், அதின் கீழிடங்களிலிருக்கிறவைகளோ, அக்கினியால் மாறினதுபோலிருக்கும்.

அவர் வானத்தை மேகங்களால் மூடி, பூமிக்கு மழையை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தி மலைகளில் புல்லை முளைப்பிக்கிறார்.

அது உனக்கு முள்ளும் குருக்கும் முளைப்பிக்கும்; வெளியின் பயிர்வகைகளைப் புசிப்பாய்.

நடமாடுகிற ஜீவஜந்துக்கள் யாவும், உங்களுக்கு ஆகாரமாய் இருப்பதாக; பசும் பூண்டுகளை உங்களுக்குத் தந்ததுபோல, அவைகள் எல்லாவற்றையும் உங்களுக்குத் தந்தேன்.

மாம்சதேகமுள்ள யாவுக்கும் ஆகாரங் கொடுக்கிறவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

பின்னும் தேவன்: இதோ, பூமியின்மேல் எங்கும் விதைதரும் சகலவிதப் பூண்டுகளையும், விதைதரும் கனிமரங்களாகிய சகலவித விருட்சங்களையும் உங்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தேன், அவைகள் உங்களுக்கு ஆகாரமாயிருக்கக்கடவது;

நிலத்தினுடைய சகலவிதச் செடிகளும் பூமியின்மேல் இன்னும் உண்டாகவில்லை, நிலத்தினுடைய சகலவிதப் பூண்டுகளும் இன்னும் முளைக்கவில்லை; ஏனெனில் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் பூமியின்மேல் இன்னும் மழையைப் பெய்யப்பண்ணவில்லை; நிலத்தைப் பண்படுத்த மனுஷனும் இருந்ததில்லை.

தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர், பார்வைக்கு அழகும் புசிப்புக்கு நலமுமான சகலவித விருட்சங்களையும், தோட்டத்தின் நடுவிலே ஜீவவிருட்சத்தையும், நன்மை தீமை அறியத்தக்க விருட்சத்தையும் பூமியிருந்து முளைக்கப்பண்ணினார்.

நீ நிலத்தைப் பயிரிடும்போது, அது தன் பலனை இனி உனக்குக் கொடாது; நீ பூமியில் நிலையற்று அலைகிறவனாயிருப்பாய் என்றார்.

ஆகாப் ஒபதியாவைப் பார்த்து: நீ தேசத்திலிருக்கிற எல்லா நீரூற்றுகளிடத்திலும், எல்லா ஆறுகளிடத்திலும் போ; நாம் சகல மிருகஜீவன்களையும் சாகக்கொடாமல், குதிரைகளையும் கோவேறு கழுதைகளையுமாவது உயிரோடே காப்பாற்றும்படிக்கு நமக்குப் புல் அகப்படுமா என்று பார் என்றான்.

எல்லா ஜீவன்களின் கண்களும் உம்மை நோக்கிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறது; ஏற்ற வேளையிலே நீர் அவர்களுக்கு ஆகாரங்கொடுக்கிறீர்.

வெளியின் பெண்மானும் குட்டிபோட்டு, புல்லில்லாததினால் அதைவிட்டு ஓடிப்போகும்.

வெளியின் மிருகங்களே, பயப்படாதேயுங்கள்; வனாந்தரத்திலே மேய்ச்சல்கள் உண்டாகும்; விருட்சங்கள் காய்களைக் காய்க்கும்; அத்திமரமும் திராட்சச்செடியும் பலனைத்தரும்.

அப்படியிருக்க, நடுகிறவனாலும் ஒன்றுமில்லை, நீர்ப்பாய்ச்சுகிறவனாலும் ஒன்றுமில்லை, விளையச்செய்கிற தேவனாலே எல்லாமாகும்.
