கர்த்தர் சீனாய்மலையின்மேல் அக்கினியில் இறங்கினபடியால், அது முழுவதும் புகைக்காடாய் இருந்தது; அந்தப் புகை சூளையின் புகையைப்போல எழும்பிற்று; மலை முழுவதும் மிகவும் அதிர்ந்தது.

கர்த்தாவே, நீர் உமது வானங்களைத் தாழ்த்தி இறங்கி, பர்வதங்கள் புகையும்படி அவைகளைத் தொடும்.

பர்வதங்கள் உம்மைக் கண்டு நடுங்கின; ஜலம் பிரவாகித்துக் கடந்துபோயிற்று, ஆழி இரைந்தது, அதின் கைகளை உயர எடுத்தது.

அவருடைய மின்னல்கள் பூச்சக்கரத்தைப் பிரகாசிப்பித்தது; பூமி அதைக் கண்டு அதிர்ந்தது.

பூமியே, நீ ஆண்டவருக்கு முன்பாகவும், யாக்கோபுடைய தேவனுக்கு முன்பாகவும் அதிரு.

நம்முடைய தேவன் வருவார், மவுனமாயிரார், அவருக்கு முன் அக்கினி பட்சிக்கும்; அவரைச் சுற்றிலும் மகா புசல் கொந்தளிப்பாயிருக்கும்.

ஜலங்கள் உம்மைக் கண்டது, தேவனே ஜலங்கள் உம்மைக் கண்டு தத்தளித்தது; ஆழங்களும் கலங்கினது.

ஆ, உமது நாமத்தைச் சத்துருக்களுக்குத் தெரியப்பண்ணுவதற்கும், ஜாதிகள் உம்முடைய சந்நிதிக்கு முன் தத்தளிப்பதற்கும்,

பூமியைப் பார்த்தேன், அது ஒழுங்கின்மையும் வெறுமையுமாயிருந்தது; வானங்களைப் பார்த்தேன், அவைகளுக்கு ஒளியில்லாதிருந்தது.

எனக்குப் பயப்படாதிருப்பீர்களோ என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; அலைகள் மோதியடித்தாலும் மேற்கொள்ளாதபடிக்கும், அவைகள் இரைந்தாலும் கடவாதபடிக்கும், கடக்கக் கூடாத நித்திய பிரமாணமாக சமுத்திரத்தின் மணலை எல்லையாய் வைத்திருக்கிறவராகிய எனக்குமுன்பாக அதிராதிருப்பீர்களோ?

இதினிமித்தம் தேசம் அதிரவும், அதின் குடிகள் எல்லாம் துக்கிக்கவும், எங்கும் நதிகளாய்ப் புரண்டோடவும், எகிப்தின் ஆற்றுவெள்ளத்தைப்போல் அடித்து, பெருவெள்ளமாகவும் வேண்டாமோ?

அவர் சமுகத்தில் பர்வதங்கள் அதிர்ந்து மலைகள் கடந்துபோகும்; அவர் பிரசன்னத்தினால் பூமியும் சக்கரமும் அதில் குடியிருக்கிற அனைவரோடும் எடுபட்டுப்போம்.

அவருக்கு முன்பாகக் கொள்ளைநோய் சென்றது; அவர் செடிகளிலிருந்து எரிபந்தமான காய்ச்சல் புறப்பட்டது.

மறுபடியும் அவர்கள்: அல்லேலூயா என்று சொல்லி ஆர்ப்பரித்தார்கள். அவளுடைய புகை என்றென்றைக்கும் எழும்புகிறது என்றார்கள்.

பின்பு, நான் பெரிய வெள்ளைச் சிங்காசனத்தையும் அதின்மேல் வீற்றிருக்கிறவரையும் கண்டேன்; அவருடைய சமுகத்திலிருந்து பூமியும் வானமும் அகன்றுபோயின; அவைகளுக்கு இடங்காணப்படவில்லை.
