அவர் எகிப்திலே தம்முடைய அடையாளங்களையும், சோவான் வெளியிலே தம்முடைய அற்புதங்களையும் செய்தார்.

கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி: பார், உன்னை நான் பார்வோனுக்கு தேவனாக்கினேன்; உன் சகோதரனாகிய ஆரோன் உன் தீர்க்கதரிசியாயிருப்பான்.

அல்லது உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் எகிப்திலே உங்கள் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாக உங்களுக்குச் செய்தபடியெல்லாம் தேவன் அந்நிய ஜாதிகளின் நடுவிலிருந்து ஒரு ஜனத்தைச் சோதனைகளினாலும், அடையாளங்களினாலும், அற்புதங்களினாலும், யுத்தத்தினாலும், வல்லமையுள்ள கரத்தினாலும், ஓங்கிய புயத்தினாலும், மகா பயங்கரமான செயல்களினாலும், தமக்கென்று தெரிந்துகொள்ள வகைபண்ணினதுண்டோ என்று நீ விசாரித்துப்பார்.

பார்வோனிடத்திலும், அவனுடைய எல்லா ஊழியக்காரரிடத்திலும், அவன் தேசத்தின் சகல ஜனத்தினிடத்திலும், அடையாளங்களையும் அற்புதங்களையும் செய்தீர்; அவர்கள் உமது ஜனங்களை அகந்தையாய் நடத்தினார்கள் என்பதை அறிந்திருந்தீர்; இப்படியே இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் இருக்கிறபடி உமக்குக் கீர்த்தியை உண்டாக்கினீர்.

அப்பொழுது இஸ்ரவேல் எகிப்திற்கு வந்தான்; யாக்கோபு காமின் தேசத்திலே பரதேசியாயிருந்தான்.

அவர் இருளை அனுப்பி அந்தகாரத்தை உண்டாக்கினார்; அவருடைய வார்த்தைகளை எதிர்ப்பாரில்லை.

தங்கள் இரட்சகரான தேவனை மறந்தார்கள்.

அவர் எகிப்திலே மனுஷருடைய தலைப்பிள்ளைகளையும் மிருகத்தின் தலையீற்றுகளையும் அடித்தார்.

ஆகிலும் அவர் பூர்வநாட்களையும், மோசேயையும், தம்முடைய ஜனத்தையும் நினைவுகூர்ந்தார்; ஆனாலும் அவர்களையும், தமது மந்தையின் மேய்ப்பனையும் சமுத்திரத்திலிருந்து ஏறிவரப்பண்ணினவர் இப்பொழுது எங்கே?

இஸ்ரவேலிலும் மற்ற மனுஷருக்குள்ளும் இந்நாள்வரைக்கும் விளங்குகிற அடையாளங்களையும் அற்புதங்களையும் தேவரீர் எகிப்துதேசத்திலே செய்து, இந்நாளில் நிற்கும் கீர்த்தியை உமக்கு உண்டாக்கி,
