கர்த்தர் நம்மைப் பிரகாசிப்பிக்கிற தேவனாயிருக்கிறார்; பண்டிகைப்பலியைக் கொண்டுபோய் பலிபீடத்தின் கொம்புகளில் கயிறுகளால் கட்டுங்கள்.

இவ்விதமாய் யூதருக்கு வெளிச்சமும், மகிழ்ச்சியும், களிப்பும், கனமுமுண்டாயிற்று.

நீங்களோ, உங்களை அந்தகாரத்தினின்று தம்முடைய ஆச்சரியமான ஒளியினிடத்திற்கு வரவழைத்தவருடைய புண்ணியங்களை அறிவிக்கும்படிக்குத் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்ட சந்ததியாயும், ராஜரீகமான ஆசாரியக்கூட்டமாயும், பரிசுத்த ஜாதியாயும், அவருக்குச் சொந்தமான ஜனமாயும் இருக்கிறீர்கள்.

அதின் நாலு மூலைகளிலும் நாலு கொம்புகளை உண்டாக்குவாயாக; அதின் கொம்புகள் அதனோடே ஏகமாய் இருக்கவேண்டும்; அதை வெண்கலத் தகட்டால் மூடவேண்டும்.

தேவரீர் என் விளக்கை ஏற்றுவீர்; என் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் என் இருளை வெளிச்சமாக்குவார்.

ஜனங்களெல்லாரும் இதைக் கண்டபோது, முகங்குப்புற விழுந்து: கர்த்தரே தெய்வம், கர்த்தரே தெய்வம் என்றார்கள்.

இருளில் நடக்கிற ஜனங்கள் பெரிய வெளிச்சத்தைக் கண்டார்கள்; மரண இருளின் தேசத்தில் குடியிருக்கிறவர்களின்மேல் வெளிச்சம் பிரகாசித்தது.

மறுபடியும் இயேசு ஜனங்களை நோக்கி: நான் உலகத்திற்கு ஒளியாயிருக்கிறேன், என்னைப் பின்பற்றுகிறவன் இருளிலே நடவாமல் ஜீவஒளியை அடைந்திருப்பான் என்றார்.

ஆகையால், அவருடைய நாமத்தைத் துதிக்கும் உதடுகளின் கனியாகிய ஸ்தோத்திரபலியை அவர்மூலமாய் எப்போதும் தேவனுக்குச் செலுத்தக்கடவோம்.

அதின் நாலு மூலைகளிலும் அதனோடு ஏகமாயிருக்கிற அதின் நாலு கொம்புகளையும் உண்டாக்கி, அதை வெண்கலத் தகட்டால் மூடி,

சாலொமோன் கர்த்தருக்குச் சமாதானபலிகளாக, இருபத்தீராயிரம் மாடுகளையும், இலட்சத்திருபதினாயிரம் ஆடுகளையும் பலியிட்டான்; இவ்விதமாய் ராஜாவும் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரர் அனைவரும் கர்த்தருடைய ஆலயத்தைப் பிரதிஷ்டைபண்ணினார்கள்.

அப்பொழுது எலியா சகல ஜனத்தண்டைக்கும் வந்து: நீங்கள் எந்தமட்டும் இரண்டு நினைவுகளால் குந்திக்குந்தி நடப்பீர்கள்; கர்த்தர் தெய்வமானால் அவரைப் பின்பற்றுங்கள்; பாகால் தெய்வமானால் அவனைப் பின்பற்றுங்கள் என்றான், ஜனங்கள் பிரதியுத்தரமாக அவனுக்கு ஒன்றும் சொல்லவில்லை.

கர்த்தருக்குப் பலியிட்டு, மறுநாளிலே சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளாக ஆயிரம் காளைகளையும், ஆயிரம் ஆட்டுக்கடாக்களையும், ஆயிரம் ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளையும், அவைகளுக்கடுத்த பானபலிகளையும் இஸ்ரவேல் அனைத்திற்காகவும் கர்த்தருக்குச் செலுத்தினார்கள்.

உன் நீதியை வெளிச்சத்தைப்போலவும், உன் நியாயத்தைப் பட்டப்பகலைப்போலவும் விளங்கப்பண்ணுவார்.

சீயோனுக்கு உமது பிரியத்தின்படி நன்மைசெய்யும்: எருசலேமின் மதில்களைக் கட்டுவீராக.

எழும்பிப் பிரகாசி; உன் ஒளிவந்தது, கர்த்தருடைய மகிமை உன்மேல் உதித்தது.
