ஏனெனில், ஒருதரம் பிரகாசிப்பிக்கப்பட்டும், பரமஈவை ருசிபார்த்தும், பரிசுத்த ஆவியைப் பெற்றும்,

சகல துர்க்குணத்தையும், சகலவித கபடத்தையும், வஞ்சகங்களையும், பொறாமைகளையும், சகலவித புறங்கூறுதலையும் ஒழித்துவிட்டு,

உம்முடைய வார்த்தைகள் என் நாவுக்கு எவ்வளவு இனிமையானவைகள்; என் வாய்க்கு அவைகள் தேனிலும் மதுரமாயிருக்கும்.

ஆசாரியரின் ஆத்துமாவைக் கொழுமையானவைகளினால் பூரிப்பாக்குவேன்; என் ஜனங்கள் நான் அளிக்கும் நன்மையினால் திருப்தியாவார்கள் என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

நிணத்தையும் கொழுப்பையும் உண்டதுபோல என் ஆத்துமா திருப்தியாகும்; என் வாய் ஆனந்தக்களிப்புள்ள உதடுகளால் உம்மைப் போற்றும்.

குமாரன் கோபங்கொள்ளாமலும் நீங்கள் வழியிலே அழியாமலும் இருக்கும்படிக்கு, அவரை முத்தஞ்செய்யுங்கள்; கொஞ்சக்காலத்திலே அவருடைய கோபம் பற்றியெரியும்; அவரை அண்டிக்கொள்ளுகிற யாவரும் பாக்கியவான்கள்.

ஆதிமுதலாய் இருந்ததும், நாங்கள் கேட்டதும், எங்கள் கண்களினாலே கண்டதும், நாங்கள் நோக்கிப்பார்த்ததும், எங்கள் கைகளினாலே தொட்டுப்பார்த்ததுமாயிருக்கிற ஜீவவார்த்தையைக் குறித்து உங்களுக்கு அறிவிக்கிறோம்.

தேவனே, உம்முடைய கிருபை எவ்வளவு அருமையானது! அதினால் மனுபுத்திரர் உமது செட்டைகளின் நிழலிலே வந்தடைகிறார்கள்.

சேனைகளின் கர்த்தாவே, உம்மை நம்பியிருக்கிற மனுஷன் பாக்கியவான்.

அவருடைய காருண்யம் எத்தனை பெரியது? அவருடைய செளந்தரியம் எத்தனை பெரியது? தானியம் வாலிபரையும், புது திராட்சரசம் கன்னிகைகளையும் வளர்க்கும்.

உம்மை அறிந்தவர்கள்மேல் உமது கிருபையையும், செம்மையான இருதயமுள்ளவர்கள்மேல் உமது நீதியையும் பாராட்டியருளும்.

பலவானே, பொல்லாப்பில் ஏன் பெருமைபாராட்டுகிறாய்? தேவனுடைய கிருபை எந்நாளுமுள்ளது.

காட்டுமரங்களுக்குள்ளே கிச்சிலிமரம் எப்படியிருக்கிறதோ, அப்படியே குமாரருக்குள்ளே என் நேசர் இருக்கிறார்; அதின் நிழலிலே வாஞ்சையாய் உட்காருகிறேன், அதின் கனி என் வாய்க்கு மதுரமாயிருக்கிறது.

என் சகோதரியே! என் மணவாளியே! நான் என் தோட்டத்தில் வந்தேன், என் வெள்ளைப்போளத்தையும் என் கந்தவர்க்கங்களையும் சேர்த்தேன்; என் தேன்கூட்டை என் தேனோடு புசித்தேன்; என் திராட்சரசத்தை என் பாலோடும் குடித்தேன். சிநேகிதரே! புசியுங்கள்; பிரியமானவர்களே! குடியுங்கள், பூர்த்தியாய்க் குடியுங்கள்.

அன்பாயிருக்கக்கடவோம்; ஏனெனில் அன்பு தேவனால் உண்டாயிருக்கிறது; அன்புள்ள எவனும் தேவனால் பிறந்து, அவரை அறிந்திருக்கிறான்.
