இணை வசனம்

கர்த்தாவே, நதிகள் எழும்பின; நதிகள் இரைச்சலிட்டு எழும்பின; நதிகள் அலைதிரண்டு எழும்பின.

எனக்குப் பயப்படாதிருப்பீர்களோ என்று கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்; அலைகள் மோதியடித்தாலும் மேற்கொள்ளாதபடிக்கும், அவைகள் இரைந்தாலும் கடவாதபடிக்கும், கடக்கக் கூடாத நித்திய பிரமாணமாக சமுத்திரத்தின் மணலை எல்லையாய் வைத்திருக்கிறவராகிய எனக்குமுன்பாக அதிராதிருப்பீர்களோ?

ஐயோ! கடல்கள் கொந்தளிக்கிறதுபோல கொந்தளிக்கிற அநேக ஜனங்களின் திரளும், பலத்த தண்ணீர்கள் இரைகிறதுபோல இரைகிற ஜனக்கூட்டங்களின் அமளியும் உண்டாயிருக்கிறது.

கர்த்தாவே, நீர் சேயீரிலிருந்து புறப்பட்டு, ஏதோமின் வெளியிலிருந்து நடந்துவருகையில், பூமி அதிர்ந்தது, வானம் சொரிந்தது, மேகங்களும் தண்ணீராய்ப் பொழிந்தது.

அப்பொழுது அவர்: நீ வெளியே வந்து கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாகப் பர்வதத்தில் நில் என்றார்; அப்பொழுது, இதோ, கர்த்தர் கடந்துபோனார்; கர்த்தருக்கு முன்பாகப் பர்வதங்களைப் பிளக்கிறதும் கன்மலைகளை உடைக்கிறதுமான பலத்த பெருங்காற்று உண்டாயிற்று; ஆனாலும் அந்தக் காற்றிலே கர்த்தர் இருக்கவில்லை; காற்றிற்குப்பின் பூமி அதிர்ச்சி உண்டாயிற்று; பூமி அதிர்ச்சியிலும் கர்த்தர் இருக்கவில்லை.

அவர் பர்வதங்களைச் சடிதியாய்ப் பேர்க்கிறார்; தம்முடைய கோபத்தில் அவைகளைப் புரட்டிப்போடுகிறார்.

இம்மட்டும் வா, மிஞ்சி வராதே; உன் அலைகளின் பெருமை இங்கே அடங்கக்கடவது என்று நான் சொல்லுகிறபோதும் நீ எங்கேயிருந்தாய்?

மரணக்கட்டுகள் என்னைச் சுற்றிக்கொண்டது; துர்ச்சனப்பிரவாகம் என்னைப் பயப்படுத்தினது.

மலைகள் ஆட்டுக்கடாக்களைப்போலவும் குன்றுகள் ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளைப்போலவும் துள்ளினது.

எருசலேமின் குடிகளே, யூதாவின் மனுஷரே, எனக்கும் என் திராட்சத்தோட்டத்துக்கும் நியாயந்தீருங்கள்.

பர்வதங்களைப் பார்த்தேன், அவைகள் அதிர்ந்தன; எல்லாக் குன்றுகளும் அசைந்தன.

மெழுகு அக்கினிக்கு முன்பாக உருகுகிறதுபோலவும், மலைகளிலிருந்து பாயுந் தண்ணீர் தரையைப் பிளக்கிறதுபோலவும், பர்வதங்கள் அவர் கீழே உருகி, பள்ளத்தாக்குகள் பிளந்துபோகும்.

அவர் சமுகத்தில் பர்வதங்கள் அதிர்ந்து மலைகள் கடந்துபோகும்; அவர் பிரசன்னத்தினால் பூமியும் சக்கரமும் அதில் குடியிருக்கிற அனைவரோடும் எடுபட்டுப்போம்.

பெருமழை சொரிந்து, பெருவெள்ளம் வந்து, காற்று அடித்து, அந்த வீட்டின்மேல் மோதியும் அது விழவில்லை; ஏனென்றால் அது கன்மலையின்மேல் அஸ்திபாரம் போடப்பட்டிருந்தது.

தீவுகள் யாவும் அகன்றுபோயின, பர்வதங்கள் காணப்படாமற்போயின.

பின்னும் அவன் என்னை நோக்கி: அந்த வேசி உட்கார்ந்திருக்கிற தண்ணீர்களைக் கண்டாயே; அவைகள் ஜனங்களும் கூட்டங்களும் ஜாதிகளும் பாஷைக்காரருமாம்.
