இணை வசனம்

தேவனுடைய செய்கைகளை வந்துபாருங்கள், அவர் மனுபுத்திரரிடத்தில் நடப்பிக்குங் கிரியையில் பயங்கரமானவர்.

அப்பொழுது பார்வோனுடைய ஊழியக்காரர் அவனை நோக்கி எந்தமட்டும் இந்த மனிதன் நமக்குக் கண்ணியாய் இருப்பான்? தங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்கு ஆராதனை செய்ய அந்த மனிதரைப் போகவிடும்; எகிப்து அழிந்துபோனதை நீர் இன்னும் அறியவில்லையா என்றார்கள்.

அப்பொழுது பார்வோனும் அவனுடைய சகல ஊழியக்காரரும் எகிப்தியர் யாவரும் இராத்திரியிலே எழுந்திருந்தார்கள்; மகா கூக்குரல் எகிப்திலே உண்டாயிற்று; சாவில்லாத ஒரு வீடும் இருந்ததில்லை.

இவ்விதமாய்க் கர்த்தர் அந்நாளிலே இஸ்ரவேலரை எகிப்தியரின் கைக்குத் தப்புவித்து ரட்சித்தார்; கடற்கரையிலே எகிப்தியர் செத்துக்கிடக்கிறதை இஸ்ரவேலர் கண்டார்கள்.

யாக்கோபுக்கு விரோதமான மந்திரவாதம் இல்லை, இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு விரோதமான குறிசொல்லுதலும் இல்லை; தேவன் என்னென்ன செய்தார் என்று கொஞ்சக் காலத்திலே யாக்கோபையும் இஸ்ரவேலையும் குறித்துச் சொல்லப்படும்.

யுத்தம்பண்ண இஸ்ரவேலுக்கு எதிராகவரும்படிக்கு, அவர்களுடைய இருதயம் கடினமானதும், இப்படியே அவர்கள்பேரில் இரக்கம் உண்டாகாமல், கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடி, அவர்களை அழித்துச் சங்காரம்பண்ணினதும் கர்த்தரால் வந்த காரியமாயிருந்தது.

எப்படியெனில், அம்மோன் புத்திரரும் மோவாபியரும், சேயீர் மலைத்தேசக்குடிகளைச் சங்கரிக்கவும் அழிக்கவும் அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாய் எழும்பினார்கள்; சேயீர் குடிகளை அழித்துத் தீர்ந்தபோது, தாங்களும் தங்களில் ஒருவரையொருவர் அழிக்கத்தக்கவிதமாய்க் கைகலந்தார்கள்.

கர்த்தாவே, உமது செய்கைகளால் என்னை மகிழ்ச்சியாக்கினீர், உமது கரத்தின் கிரியைகளினிமித்தம் ஆனந்த சத்தமிடுவேன்.

கர்த்தரின் செய்கைகள் பெரியவைகளும், அவைகளில் பிரியப்படுகிற எல்லாராலும் ஆராயப்படுகிறவைகளுமாயிருக்கிறது.

இதோ, கர்த்தர் தேசத்தை வெறுமையும் பாழுமாக்கி, அதைக் கவிழ்த்து அதின் குடிகளைச் சிதறடிப்பார்.

சகல ஜாதிகளின்மேலும் கர்த்தருடைய கடுங்கோபமும், அவர்களுடைய சகல சேனைகளின்மேலும் அவருடைய உக்கிரமும் மூளுகிறது; அவர்களைச் சங்காரத்துக்கு நியமித்து, கொலைக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுக்கிறார்.

அவர்கள் நெடுங்காலம் பாழாய்க்கிடந்தவைகளைக் கட்டி பூர்வத்தில் நிர்மூலமானவைகளை எடுப்பித்து தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாய் இடிந்துகிடந்த பாழான பட்டணங்களைப் புதிதாய்க்கட்டுவார்கள்.
