இணை வசனம்

இதோ, தேவனைத் தன் பெலனாக எண்ணாமல், தன் செல்வப்பெருக்கத்தை நம்பி தன் தீவினையில் பலத்துக்கொண்ட மனுஷன் இவன்தான் என்பார்கள்.

சீஷர்கள் அவருடைய வார்த்தைகளைக்குறித்து ஆச்சரியப்பட்டார்கள். இயேசு பின்னும் அவர்களை நோக்கி: பிள்ளைகளே, ஐசுவரியத்தின்மேல் நம்பிக்கையாயிருக்கிறவர்கள் தேவனுடைய ராஜ்யத்தில் பிரவேசிப்பது எவ்வளவு அரிதாயிருக்கிறது!

தன் ஐசுவரியத்தின் மகிமையையும், தன் பிள்ளைகளின் திரட்சியையும், ராஜா தன்னைப் பெரியவனாக்கி, தன்னைப் பிரபுக்கள்மேலும் ராஜாவின் ஊழியக்காரர்மேலும் உயர்த்தின எல்லாவற்றையும் ஆமான் அவர்களுக்கு விவரித்துச்சொன்னான்.

நான் பொன்னின்மேல் என் நம்பிக்கையை வைத்து, தங்கத்தைப்பார்த்து: நீ என் ஆதரவு என்று நான் சொன்னதும்,

கொடுமையை நம்பாதிருங்கள், கொள்ளையினால் பெருமை பாராட்டாதிருங்கள்; ஐசுவரியம் விருத்தியானால் இருதயத்தை அதின்மேல் வைக்காதேயுங்கள்.

ஐசுவரியவானுடைய பொருள் அவனுக்கு அரணான பட்டணம்; ஏழைகளின் வறுமையோ அவர்களைக் கலங்கப்பண்ணும்.

தன் ஐசுவரியத்தை நம்புகிறவன் விழுவான்; நீதிமான்களோ துளிரைப்போலே தழைப்பார்கள்.

இல்லாமற்போகும் பொருள்மேல் உன்கண்களைப் பறக்கவிடுவானேன்? அது கழுகைப்போல சிறகுகளைத் தனக்கு உண்டுபண்ணிக்கொண்டு, ஆகாயமார்க்கமாய்ப் பறந்துபோம்.

ஞானி தன் ஞானத்தைக்குறித்து மேன்மைபாராட்டவேண்டாம்; பராக்கிரமன் தன் பராக்கிரமத்தைக்குறித்து மேன்மைபாராட்டவேண்டாம்; ஐசுவரியவான் தன் ஐசுவரியத்தைக்குறித்து மேன்மைபாராட்டவேண்டாம்;

நீ உன் ஞானத்தினாலும் உன் புத்தியினாலும் பொருள் சம்பாதித்து, பொன்னையும் வெள்ளியையும் உன் பொக்கிஷசாலைகளில் சேர்த்துக்கொண்டாய்.

எப்பிராயீம்: நான் ஐசுவரியவானானேன்; நான் பொருளைச் சம்பாதித்தேன்; நான் பிரயாசப்பட்டுத் தேடின எல்லாவற்றிலும் பாவமாகிய அக்கிரமம் என்னிடத்தில் கண்டுபிடிக்கப்படுவதில்லையென்று சொல்லுகிறான்.

பின்பு: ஆத்துமாவே, உனக்காக அநேக வருஷங்களுக்கு அநேகம் பொருள்கள் சேர்த்துவைக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது; நீ இளைப்பாறி, புசித்துக் குடித்து, பூரிப்பாயிரு என்று என் ஆத்துமாவோடே சொல்லுவேன் என்று தனக்குள்ளே சிந்தித்துச் சொல்லிக்கொண்டான்.

இவ்வுலகத்திலே ஐசுவரியமுள்ளவர்கள் இறுமாப்பான சிந்தையுள்ளவர்களாயிராமலும், நிலையற்ற ஐசுவரியத்தின் மேல் நம்பிக்கை வையாமலும், நாம் அனுபவிக்கிறதற்குச் சகலவித நன்மைகளையும் நமக்குச் சம்பூரணமாய்க் கொடுக்கிற ஜீவனுள்ள தேவன்மேல் நம்பிக்கை வைக்கவும்,
