வானங்களே, கேளுங்கள்; பூமியே, செவிகொடு; கர்த்தர் பேசுகிறார்; நான் பிள்ளைகளை வளர்த்து ஆதரித்தேன்; அவர்களோ எனக்கு விரோதமாய்க் கலகம்பண்ணினார்கள்.

உங்கள் கோத்திரங்களிலுள்ள மூப்பர் உங்கள் அதிபதிகள் எல்லாருடைய காதுகளும் கேட்கத்தக்கதாக நான் இந்த வார்த்தைகளைச் சொல்லவும், அவர்களுக்கு விரோதமாக வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் சாட்சிவைக்கவும் அவர்களை என்னிடத்தில் கூடிவரச்செய்யுங்கள்.

அன்றியும் பிதாவைக் கனம்பண்ணுகிறதுபோல எல்லாரும் குமாரனையும் கனம்பண்ணும்படிக்கு, பிதாவானவர்தாமே ஒருவருக்கும் நியாயத்தீர்ப்புச் செய்யாமல், நியாயத்தீர்ப்புச் செய்யும் அதிகாரம் முழுவதையும் குமாரனுக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்திருக்கிறார்.

உன்னை உபதேசிக்கும்படிக்கு, அவர் வானத்திலிருந்து தமது சத்தத்தை உனக்குக் கேட்கப்பண்ணி, பூமியிலே தமது பெரிய அக்கினியை உனக்குக் காண்பித்தார்; அக்கினியின் நடுவிலிருந்து உண்டான அவருடைய வார்த்தைகளைக் கேட்டாய்.

நான் ஜீவனையும் மரணத்தையும், ஆசீர்வாதத்தையும் சாபத்தையும் உனக்குமுன் வைத்தேன் என்று உங்கள்மேல் வானத்தையும் பூமியையும் இன்று சாட்சிவைக்கிறேன்; ஆகையால், நீயும் உன் சந்ததியும் பிழைக்கும்படிக்கு, நீ ஜீவனைத் தெரிந்துகொண்டு,
