தேசமே, பயப்படாதே, மகிழ்ந்து களிகூரு; கர்த்தர் பெரிய காரியங்களைச் செய்வார்.

அதை மேகங்கள் பெய்து, மனுஷர்மேல் மிகுதியாய்ப் பொழிகிறது.

கர்த்தாவே, நீர் நீதிமானை ஆசீர்வதித்து, காருணியம் என்னுங் கேடகத்தினால் அவனைச் சூழ்ந்துகொள்வீர்.

உமது ஆலயத்திலுள்ள சம்பூரணத்தினால் திருப்தியடைவார்கள்; உமது பேரின்ப நதியினால் அவர்கள் தாகத்தைத் தீர்க்கிறீர்.

உன் பிராணனை அழிவுக்கு விலக்கிமீட்டு, உன்னைக் கிருபையினாலும் இரக்கங்களினாலும் முடிசூட்டி,

தமது மேல்வீடுகளைத் தண்ணீர்களால் மச்சுப்பாவி, மேகங்களைத் தமது இரதமாக்கி, காற்றினுடைய செட்டைகளின்மேல் செல்லுகிறார்.

பேதையர் புத்தியீனத்தைச் சுதந்தரிக்கிறார்கள்; விவேகிகளோ அறிவினால் முடிசூட்டப்படுகிறார்கள்.

களஞ்சியத்தில் இன்னும் விதைத்தானியம் உண்டோ? திராட்சச்செடியும் அத்திமரமும் மாதளஞ்செடியும் ஒலிவமரமும் கனிகொடுக்கவில்லையே, நான் இன்றுமுதல் உங்களை ஆசீர்வதிப்பேன் என்று சொல்லுகிறார் என்றான்.

என் ஆலயத்தில் ஆகாரம் உண்டாயிருக்கும்படித் தசமபாகங்களையெல்லாம் பண்டசாலையிலே கொண்டுவாருங்கள்; அப்பொழுது நான் வானத்தின் பலகணிகளைத் திறந்து, இடங்கொள்ளாமற்போகுமட்டும் உங்கள்மேல் ஆசீர்வாதத்தை வருஷிக்கமாட்டேனோவென்று அதினால் என்னைச் சோதித்துப் பாருங்கள் என்று சேனைகளின் கர்த்தர் சொல்லுகிறார்.

கர்த்தருடைய உடன்படிக்கையையும் அவருடைய சாட்சிகளையும் கைக்கொள்ளுகிறவர்களுக்கு, அவருடைய பாதைகளெல்லாம் கிருபையும் சத்தியமுமானவைகள்.

ஒருவேளை அவர் திரும்பி மனஸ்தாபப்பட்டு, உங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருக்குப் போஜனபலிகளையும் பானபலிகளையும் செலுத்துகிறதற்கான ஆசீர்வாதத்தைத் தந்தருளுவார்.

சில கிளைகள் முறித்துப்போடப்பட்டிருக்க, காட்டொலிவமரமாகிய நீ அவைகள் இருந்த இடத்தில் ஒட்டவைக்கப்பட்டு, ஒலிவமரத்தின் வேருக்கும் சாரத்துக்கும் உடன்பங்காளியாயிருந்தாயானால்,

அவனை தேவதூதரிலும் சற்றுச் சிறியவனாக்கினீர்; மகிமையினாலும் கனத்தினாலும் அவனுக்கு முடிசூட்டி, உம்முடைய கரத்தின் கிரியைகளின் மேல் அவனை அதிகாரியாக வைத்து, சகலத்தையும் அவனுடைய பாதங்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தினீர் என்று சொன்னான்.
