பிற்காலத்தில் உன் குமாரன்: இது என்ன என்று உன்னைக் கேட்டால்; நீ அவனை நோக்கி: கர்த்தர் எங்களைப் பலத்த கையினால் அடிமைத்தன வீடாகிய எகிப்திலிருந்து புறப்படப்பண்ணினார்.

கர்த்தாவே, தேவர்களில் உமக்கு ஒப்பானவர் யார்? பரிசுத்தத்தில் மகத்துவமுள்ளவரும், துதிகளில் பயப்படத் தக்கவரும், அற்புதங்களைச் செய்கிறவருமாகிய உமக்கு ஒப்பானவர் யார்?

அதற்கு அவர்கள்: உம்முடைய தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தின் பிரஸ்தாபத்தைக் கேட்டு, உமது அடியாராகிய நாங்கள் வெகு தூரதேசத்திலிருந்து வந்தோம்; அவருடைய கீர்த்தியையும், அவர் எகிப்திலே செய்த யாவையும்,

ஒருவராய்ப் பெரிய அதிசயங்களைச் செய்கிறவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; அவர் கிருபை என்றுமுள்ளது.

எழும்பு, எழும்பு, பெலன்கொள்; கர்த்தரின் புயமே முந்தின நாட்களிலும் பூர்வ தலைமுறைகளிலும் எழும்பினபடி எழும்பு; இராகாபைத் துண்டித்ததும் வலுசர்ப்பத்தை வதைத்ததும் நீதானல்லவோ?

தானியேலைச் சிங்கங்களின் கைக்குத் தப்புவித்த அவரே தப்புவிக்கிறவரும் இரட்சிக்கிறவரும், வானத்திலும் பூமியிலும் அடையாளங்களையும் அற்புதங்களையும் செய்கிறவருமாயிருக்கிறார் என்று எழுதினான்.

இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாயிருக்கிற கர்த்தராகிய தேவனுக்கு ஸ்தோத்திரமுண்டாவதாக; அவரே அதிசயங்களைச் செய்கிறவர்.

அவர்கள் தேவனுடைய ஊழியக்காரனாகிய மோசேயின் பாட்டையும் ஆட்டுக்குட்டியானவருடைய பாட்டையும் பாடி: சர்வவல்லமையுள்ள தேவனாகிய கர்த்தாவே, தேவரீருடைய கிரியைகள் மகத்துவமும் ஆச்சரியமுமானவைகள்; பரிசுத்தவான்களின் ராஜாவே, தேவரீருடைய வழிகள் நீதியும் சத்தியமுமானவைகள்.

கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய வலதுகரம் பலத்தினால் மகத்துவம் சிறந்திருக்கிறது; கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய வலதுகரம் பகைஞனை நொறுக்கிவிட்டது.

தேவரீர் மகத்துவமுள்ளவரும் அதிசயங்களைச் செய்கிறவருமாயிருக்கிறீர்; நீர் ஒருவரே தேவன்.

ஆனாலும் அவர் தமது வல்லமையை வெளிப்படுத்தும்படி தம்முடைய நாமத்தினிமித்தம் அவர்களை இரட்சித்தார்.

எல்லா ஜாதிகளின் கண்களுக்கு முன்பாகவும் கர்த்தர் தம்முடைய பரிசுத்த புயத்தை வெளிப்படுத்துவார்; பூமியின் எல்லைகளில் உள்ளவர்களெல்லாரும் நமது தேவனுடைய இரட்சிப்பைக் காண்பார்கள்.

ஆதலால் சாத்ராக், மேஷாக், ஆபேத்நேகோ என்பர்களுடைய தேவனுக்கு விரோதமாகத் தூஷண வார்த்தையைச் சொல்லுகிற எந்த ஜனத்தானும், எந்த ஜாதியானும், எந்தப் பாஷைக்காரனும் துண்டித்துப்போடப்படுவான்; அவன் வீடு எருக்களமாக்கப்படும் என்று என்னாலே தீர்மானிக்கப்படுகிறது; இவ்விதமாய் இரட்சிக்கத்தக்க தேவன் வேறொருவரும் இல்லையென்றான்.

அவருடைய தாசனாகிய ஆபிரகாமின் சந்ததியே! அவரால் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்டவர்களாகிய யாக்கோபின் புத்திரரே!
