அவன் சத்துருக்களை அவனுக்குமுன்பாக மடங்கடித்து, அவனைப் பகைக்கிறவர்களை வெட்டுவேன்.

இணை வசனம்

நீ போன எவ்விடத்திலும் உன்னோடே இருந்து, உன் சத்துருக்களையெல்லாம் உனக்கு முன்பாக நிர்மூலமாக்கி, பூமியிலிருக்கிற பெரியோர்களின் நாமத்திற்கு ஒத்த பெரிய நாமத்தை உனக்கு உண்டாக்கினேன்.

சவுலின் குடும்பத்துக்கும் தாவீதின் குடும்பத்துக்கும்; நெடுநாள் யுத்தம் நடந்தது; தாவீது வரவர பலத்தான்; சவுலின் குடும்பத்தாரோ வரவர பலவீனப்பட்டுப் போனார்கள்.

கர்த்தர் ராஜாவைச் சுற்றிலுமிருந்த அவனுடைய எல்லாச் சத்துருக்களுக்கும் அவனை நீங்கலாக்கி, இளைப்பாறப்பண்ணினபோது, அவன் தன் வீட்டிலே வாசமாயிருக்கையில்,

யுத்தத்திற்கு நீர் என்னைப் பலத்தால் இடைகட்டி, என்மேல் எழும்பினவர்களை என்கீழ் மடங்கப்பண்ணினீர்.

ஜாதிகள் கொந்தளித்து, ஜனங்கள் விருதாக்காரியத்தைச் சிந்திப்பானேன்?

நான் என் பகைஞரைச் சங்கரிக்கும்படியாக, என் சத்துருக்களின் பிடரியை எனக்கு ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தீர்.

உமது கை உமது சத்துருக்களெல்லாரையும் எட்டிப்பிடிக்கும்; உமதுவலதுகரம் உம்மைப் பகைக்கிறவர்களைக் கண்டுபிடிக்கும்.

பகையுண்டாக்கும் வார்த்தைகளால் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்துகொண்டு முகாந்தரமில்லாமல் என்னோடே போர்செய்கிறார்கள்.

அவன் சத்துருக்களுக்கு வெட்கத்தை உடுத்துவேன்; அவன்மீதிலோ அவன் கிரீடம் பூக்கும் என்றார்.

அவனுடைய ஊரார் அவனைப் பகைத்து, இவன் எங்கள் மேல் ராஜாவாயிருக்கிறது எங்களுக்கு மனதில்லையென்று சொல்லும்படி அவன் பின்னே ஸ்தானாபதிகளை அனுப்பினார்கள்.

அன்றியும் தங்கள்மேல் நான் ராஜாவாகிறதற்கு மனதில்லாதிருந்தவர்களாகிய என்னுடைய சத்துருக்களை இங்கே கொண்டுவந்து, எனக்கு முன்பாக வெட்டிப்போடுங்கள் என்று சொன்னான் என்றார்
