அப்பொழுது சிவப்பான வேறொரு குதிரை புறப்பட்டது; அதின்மேல் ஏறியிருந்தவனுக்கு, பூமியிலுள்ளவர்கள் ஒருவரையொருவர் கொலைசெய்யத்தக்கதாகச் சமாதானத்தைப் பூமியிலிருந்தெடுத்துப்போடும்படியான அதிகாரம் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது; ஒரு பெரிய பட்டயமும் அவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது.

பிறகு இன்னொரு குதிரை வெளியே வந்தது. அது தீ போன்ற சிவப்பு வண்ணம் கொண்டது. அதன்மேல் இருந்தவனுக்கு உலகத்தில் உள்ள சமாதானத்தை எடுத்துவிடவும், பூமியில் உள்ள மக்கள் ஒருவரை ஒருவர் கொல்வதற்குமான அதிகாரமும் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது. அத்துடன் அவனுக்கு ஒரு பெரிய வாளும் தரப்பட்டது.

அப்பொழுது சிவப்புக் குதிரை ஒன்று வெளியே வந்தது. அதன்மேல் ஏறியிருந்தவருக்கு, உலகில் அமைதியைக் குலைக்க அதிகாரம் கொடுக்கப்பட்டது; பெரியதொரு வாளும் அளிக்கப்பட்டது. மனிதர் தம்முள் ஒருவரை ஒருவர் படுகொலை செய்ய வேண்டுமென்றே இவை அவருக்குக் கொடுக்கப்பட்டன.⒫
