நியாயப்பிரமாணத்தினால் உபதேசிக்கப்பட்டவனாய், அவருடைய சித்தத்தை அறிந்து, நன்மை தீமை இன்னதென்று வகையறுக்கிறாயே.

இந்நாளில் நான் உங்களுக்கு விதிக்கிற இந்த நியாயப்பிரமாணம் முழுமைக்கும் ஒத்த இவ்வளவு நீதியுள்ள கட்டளைகளையும் நியாயங்களையும் பெற்றிருக்கிற வேறே பெரிய ஜாதி எது?

தேவனுக்கு மகிமையும் துதியுமுண்டாகும்படி இயேசுகிறிஸ்துவினால் வருகிற நீதியின் கனிகளால் நிறைந்தவர்களாகி,

எல்லாவற்றையும் சோதித்துப்பார்த்து, நலமானதைப் பிடித்துக்கொள்ளுங்கள்.

ஆதலால், ஒருவன் நன்மைசெய்ய அறிந்தவனாயிருந்தும், அதைச் செய்யாமற்போனால், அது அவனுக்குப் பாவமாயிருக்கும்.

நீர் சீனாய் மலையிலிறங்கி வானத்திலிருந்து அவர்களோடே பேசி, அவர்களுக்குச் செம்மையான நீதிநியாயங்களையும், நல்ல கட்டளைகளும் கற்பனைகளுமாகிய உண்மையான பிரமாணங்களையும் கொடுத்தீர்.

கர்த்தருடைய நியாயங்கள் செம்மையும், இருதயத்தைச் சந்தோஷிப்பிக்கிறதுமாயிருக்கிறது; கர்த்தருடைய கற்பனை தூய்மையும், கண்களைத் தெளிவிக்கிறதுமாயிருக்கிறது.

நீர் உம்முடைய கற்பனைகளைக் கொண்டு, என்னை என் சத்துருக்களிலும் அதிக ஞானமுள்ளவனாக்குகிறீர்; அவைகள் என்றைக்கும் என்னுடனே இருக்கிறது.

உமது கட்டளைகளால் உணர்வடைந்தேன், ஆதலால் எல்லாப் பொய்வழிகளையும் வெறுக்கிறேன்.

தேவவசனத்தினால் உண்டாகும் பொறுமையினாலும் ஆறுதலினாலும் நாம் நம்பிக்கையுள்ளவர்களாகும்படிக்கு, முன்பு எழுதியிருக்கிறவைகளெல்லாம் நமக்குப் போதனையாக எழுதியிருக்கிறது.

விக்கிரகங்களுக்குப் படைக்கப்பட்டவைகளைக்குறித்த விஷயத்தில், நம்மெல்லாருக்கும் அறிவு உண்டென்று நமக்குத் தெரியுமே. அறிவு இறுமாப்பை உண்டாக்கும், அன்போ பக்திவிருத்தியை உண்டாக்கும்.

வேதவாக்கியங்களெல்லாம் தேவஆவியினால் அருளப்பட்டிருக்கிறது; தேவனுடைய மனுஷன் தேறினவனாகவும், எந்த நற்கிரியையுஞ் செய்யத் தகுதியுள்ளவனாகவும் இருக்கும்படி,

பலமான ஆகாரமானது நன்மை தீமையின்னதென்று பயிற்சியினால் பகுத்தறியத்தக்கதாக முயற்சிசெய்யும் ஞானேந்திரியங்களையுடையவர்களாகிய பூரண வயதுள்ளவர்களுக்கே தகும்.
