உள்ளத்திலே யூதனானவனே யூதன்; எழுத்தின்படி உண்டாகாமல், ஆவியின்படி இருதயத்தில் உண்டாகும் விருத்தசேதனமே விருத்தசேதனம்; இப்படிப்பட்டவனுக்குரிய புகழ்ச்சி மனுஷராலே அல்ல, தேவனாலே உண்டாயிருக்கிறது.

மனத்தளவில் யூதனாக இருப்பவனே உண்மையான யூதன். உண்மையான விருத்தசேதனம் இருதயத்தில் செய்யப்படுவது. அது ஆவியால் செய்யப்படுவது. அது எழுதப்பட்ட ஆணைகளால் செய்யப்படுவதல்ல. ஆவியின் மூலம் இதயத்தில் விருத்தசேதனம் செய்யப்படும் ஒருவன் மக்களால் புகழப்படாவிட்டாலும் தேவனால் புகழப்படுவான்.

ஆனால் ,அகத்தில் யூதராய் இருப்பவரே உண்மையான யூதர், உள்ளத்தில் செய்யப்படும் விருத்தசேதனமே உண்மையான விருத்தசேதனம். அது எழுதிய சட்டத்தின்படி செய்யப்படுவது அல்ல, தூய ஆவியால் செய்யப்படுவதாகும். அத்தகையவர் மனிதரிடமிருந்து அல்ல, கடவுளிடமிருந்தே பாராட்டுப் பெறுவர்.
