நாம் பிள்ளைகளானால் சுதந்தரருமாமே; தேவனுடைய சுதந்தரரும், கிறிஸ்துவுக்கு உடன் சுதந்தரருமாமே; கிறிஸ்துவுடனேகூட நாம் மகிமைப்படும்படிக்கு அவருடனேகூடப் பாடுபட்டால் அப்படியாகும்.

நாம் தேவனுடைய பிள்ளைகளானால், தேவன் தன் பிள்ளைகளுக்காக வைத்திருக்கிற மகிமையை நாம் பெறுவோம். நாம் அவற்றை தேவனிடமிருந்து பெறுவோம். கிறிஸ்துவிடம் உள்ள அதே மகிமையும் நமக்குக் கிடைக்கும். ஆனால் கிறிஸ்து துன்பப்பட்டது போன்று நாமும் படவேண்டியதிருக்கும்.
