எருசலேமுக்கு விரோதமாக யுத்தம்பண்ணின எல்லா ஜனங்களையும் கர்த்தர் வாதிக்கும் வாதையாவது: அவர்கள் காலூன்றி நிற்கையிலும் அவர்களுடைய சதை அழிந்துபோகும்; அவர்கள் கண்கள் தங்கள் குழிகளிலே கெட்டுப்போகும்; அவர்கள் நாவு அவர்கள் வாயிலே அழுகிப்போகும்.

எருசலேமிற்கு விரோதமாக போர்செய்த எல்லா மக்களையும் கர்த்தர் வாதிக்கும் வாதையாவது: அவர்கள் காலூன்றி நிற்கும்போதும் அவர்களுடைய சதை அழிந்துபோகும்; அவர்கள் கண்கள் தங்கள் குழிகளிலே கெட்டுப்போகும்; அவர்கள் நாவு அவர்கள் வாயிலே அழுகிப்போகும்.

ஆனால் எருசலேமிற்கு எதிராக போரிட்ட நாடுகளை கர்த்தர் தண்டிப்பார். அவர்களுக்குப் பயங்கரமான நோய் ஏற்பட காரணமாக இருப்பார். அங்கு ஜனங்கள் இன்னும் நின்றுகொண்டிருக்கும்போதே அவர்களின் தோல் அழுகும். அவர்களின் கண்கள் இமைக்குள்ளும் நாக்குகள் வாய்க்குள்ளும் அழுகிப் போகும்.

எருசலேமுக்கு எதிராகப் போர்தொடுத்த எல்லா மக்களினங்களையும் வதைக்கும் பொருட்டு ஆண்டவர் அனுப்பும் கொள்ளை நோய் இதுவே. அவர்கள் நடமாடிக் கொண்டிருக்கும்போதே ஒவ்வொருவனது சதையும் அழுகிப்போகும். அவர்களுடைய கண்கள் தம் குழிகளிலேயே அழுகிப்போகும். நாக்குகளும் வாய்க்குள்ளேயே அழுகி விடும்.
